+x+xIn light of the recent news that the next U17 Joeys cohort will be touring Italy in April, I've decided to list a few players to keep an eye on for selection. Granted, I'm not 100% sure about the Australian/European based player ratio but I expect this to be a chance to nail down a lot of the European dual citizenship players whilst in Europe and get them amongst the system, something we haven't done and needed to in previous age-groups. This is a very exciting Joey's cohort with an eligibility of Jan 1st 2008 - Dec 31st 2010, though, it's unlikely we see any 2010 born players during this cycle. This tour will help establish a basis for the upcoming U17 Asian Cup qualifiers in October. This list only scratches the surface and lot's of talent yet to be discovered.

Asthetically pleasing first half against vietnam
A couple of players can not just recieve the ball on thr half turn but can take a player on with their backs to goal
Again we missed 2 of our four big chances. The fourth would have been amazing, a player recieves the ball in the box with back to goal with 8 defenders in the box, he thrns around and beats two players on the turn and shoots just over

This is a second team tho It’s assuring that you mention this, we are now developing players that could play out of pressure either with their first touch or with a 1v1 action which usually has been a weakness in Australian players it seems the curriculum/academies stuff is paying dividends in creating this type of player. It should bode well for the future.

Some nice goals, good to see some clinical finishing which is so often missing from our NTs in these tournaments.
Being an A-League squad, will be interesting to see which players will kick on next season for their respective clubs.

Saturday we play the semi-final against Thailand while in the other semi it's Indonesia and Malaysia. Here's hoping the boys can go all the way and maximise their preparation for the AFC Championships and the FIFA U-19 World Cup.

They are allowed to walk the free kick forward 15 meters to make it an attscking situation but nothing comes of it. Not many chances either side this half and no clear chances for thailand. In the end tho we gifted them a goal
