European transfer window closes Monday ? midnight monday euro time. 8 am tuesday our time i think? So basically they need to sort it out by Monday morning or he is gone. But can't you sign free agents anytime?

So FFA not actually confident that "The Brisbane Roar is a great club and its licence is a highly valuable asset. We are very confident that, if necessary, we can stabilise the club, find a new investor and create a bright future for the club"

Quote:Roar owners on final FFA warning
Vince Rugari
The owners of Brisbane Roar have been given a reprieve by Football Federation Australia (FFA) - but they will lose control of the embattled A-League club if its financial problems are not addressed immediately.
It shapes as the final warning for Indonesian conglomerate the Bakrie Group.
The reprieve came after two representatives met FFA chief executive David Gallop in Sydney on Friday to discuss the club's future.
Gallop said a "frank discussion" unfolded.
"The Bakrie Group is under no illusion of what's required to remedy this situation," Gallop said in a statement.
"Paying wages and superannuation arrears, clearing debts and recapitalising the business are the next urgent steps.
"On our part, FFA has advised the Bakrie Group that they will forfeit any right to the A-League licence if the current situation continues.
"To their credit, they understand this and have told us they intend to act quickly."

#expansion As funny as that may appear (2nd club) at this time of cash flow issues by the BR foreign owners, a competing club in the same geographical area will force Roar to lift their game off field.

My guess is it is 7 -14 days from last Friday. Edited by paulc: 28/8/2015 03:59:03 PM

Buggalugs - you should have listened... wrote:Is this the Final warning or the Final, Final Warning ? How could anyone know unless they know exactly what the FFA are doing, suffice to say that there would be a number of steps necessary, such as show cause notices before a final warning could be issued. And they must be material breaches to which the warnings are addressed.

Fire sale of the players now. Roar now going to be ruins of a once great empire. Respect to any players or staff that sticks around, but when your not being paid or unreliably payed it is only a matter of time. At least we got a decent youth team........

We had our team cluttered with youth and almost pulled one off MV last season. I'm sure they since have improved.
