Pfffft, Brattan was always pushing for overseas so it's no surprise. The cash flow issue by the foreign magnate is becoming an annoyance but it will be concluded one way or another maybe as early as the end of this week.

There are many people incredibly committed to the club that refuse to buy a membership whilst those morons are still in charge, myself included. I will still turn up win, lose or draw to support the players.

And it can't get relegated so who cares if the orange wiggles come last, someone's got to.

Same as last year - it gets updated once possibly twice a week, some weeks it'll go without an update. Be nice if it were real time tho

I'm only guessing but I would think the Brisbane fans care; and as for TV - my guess is they care given Brisbane provides its third biggest TV audience who aren't likely to tune in to see some southern ponces trying to play attractive football. Again only a guess but I'm pretty sure Brisbane fans and the TV company that pays all the bills will care!

The other thing people have failed to mention is the effect of the friendlies. There is no way the cheapskates in Brisbane can afford Liverpool + a season ticket around the same time. Two things confuse me nickk - first is Roar have typically had average attendance in the Top 3 in the HAL - hardly fickle fans, and last season our average home attendance was comparable to Nix, Adelaide and Perth despite being at the opposite end of the table. So who's got the fickle fans? Plus we were the only club to play games on all seven days, had our 2 biggest draw card games postponed from weekend to midweek games, and suffered the worst wet weather in HAL record including having a game abandoned half way through. So crowds were down but still up there with sides doing better in spite of all that .. And the LFC game/ticket comment reveals you as a bit of a troll mate; as any Roar member can tell you having a membership last year didn't guarantee you a ticket for that game, just another factor on the list of things Dobson did to p*ss fans off - only about 8,000 road fans got tickets and half of them weren't members. So troll away mate, you're not here for the football are you!

Just pathetic management.A whole state to market to.A championship team and now we watch it disintegrate the longer these clowns stay in control.

It'd be nice to think someone could run a single-franchise city better. The facts are that after 10 years and 2 different ventures and more on-field success than could reasonably be hoped for it's still sinking. That many Roar fans are hoping the Coffee Club boys come back is fair measure of how bad things really are.

Anyone taking over would have to tell the FFA im only playing the big games Victory,Sydney etc at Suncorp and the rest at Perry Park or Balllymore. Perry Park only holds 5kish? and some fans will miss out but i think its the only way it would work, Ballymore is a a prick to get too but still could be used.

Quote:BRISBANE Roar staff were finally paid their overdue wages on Monday, with club owners the Bakrie Group taking the first step towards fulfilling their pledge to return stability to the three-time A-League champions.
But despite the remainder of wages that were due on August 15 having finally been distributed, Football Federation Australia again stressed that the Bakrie Group’s ownership of the Roar was under serious review.
“(The full payment of wages) is a welcome step after the undertakings provided to FFA on Friday,” an FFA spokesman said.
“The next stage is for the Bakrie Group to submit a plan and timetable to clear debts and recapitalise the business … we expect to receive the plan this week.
“FFA reiterates its position that ownership of the Brisbane licence remains in the balance. The uncertainty can’t continue.
“If the Bakrie Group is unable to provide stability for the Brisbane Roar, FFA will have no choice but to revoke the licence.”

With Bratten gone, at least one of McKay and Broich will need to come off Marquee so that Brisbane can actually reach the Cap Floor.
