Peters Dutton is copping all kinds of flack for stating undisputed facts. Apparently he should have ignored them like everyone else.

Drug wars seem to be kicking off again in Western Sydney over the last couple of weeks.

Indeed they seem to be.  (Not only Sydney.) Here'some links of the latest ones that I'll put in the Australian News thread.

http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/bronson-ellery-aka-lizard-man-was-just-a-lost-kid-his-lawyer-said/news-story/8aeb580f3cae83d899bbd6736cd8a779

Bronson Ellery, aka Lizard Man, was just a ‘lost kid’, his lawyer said

http://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-act/crime/sydney-crime-figure-pasquale-barbaro-taken-out-in-targeted-shooting/news-story/458cceca7d535f14db9d8076f862cf5d

Sydney crime figure Pasquale Barbaro taken out in targeted shooting

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/execution-of-sydney-crime-figure-hamad-assaad-unfolded-in-front-of-police-surveillance-20161105-gsiye5.html

Mr Assaad was no stranger to conflict and enemies, having been suspected of carrying out shootings against some of Sydney's prominent figures and their relatives.

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/five-fatal-seconds-cctv-reveals-swift-brutal-execution-of-walid-ahmad-in-bankstown-20160527-gp53p7.html

Ahmad had been well known to police for more than a decade as a prominent figure in south-western Sydney's criminal scene.
At the time of his death, he was the subject of at least one extortion investigation and a murder probe.

Colour me surprised. I assume this is why the RBB haven't been turning out in strong numbers recently. Working around the clock in their drug kitchens.

It is, sadly we just go round in circles as its easier for governments  to come out and say things need to change and yet first thing  they do is cut funding for health  and preventation . We as a nation  need to ask our governments on why  they say one thing but do the opposite of what they said. its easy to be populist its harder to actually do what you say you're  gonna do

Demand for government services are at an all time high. It's hard to fund existing problems without redirecting funds towards other things. It's not like we have a stash for stuff like this. What suffers to make funds for this type of thing?

Isn't this indicative of a deeper issue with mental health issues being a product of a root cause? Causes may be family violence, unstable home life, drugs etc.

Well we shouldnt  gut the medical funding that  we surely need, too many people who have mental  health issues are lost due to lack of staff and or proper help. 2 we need to fix our court systems as its apparent to everyone its broken but both sets of governments all ark up about  policing and yet gut funding for it.

Sorry if this is in any way offensive to you mate, not the intention at all, just trying to have a discussion on how we prevent these sorts of incidents.

Yet another victim of our pharmaceutical state. Needed support and guidance when he asked for it dramatically in 2011, instead he was doped up and turned into a time bomb by the government for a quick buck.

It's another piss weak excuse for someones shit actions as a human being. Why couldn't he just set himself on fire rather than causing suffering to an entirely innocent family?

It was in Moorooka, Bus driver was only 29 as well, a 48 year old man is in custody with no alleged motive for the sickening act.

Lawyer has already brought up 'mental health' as an excuse.

Fucking so sick of lawyers trotting this shit out. Life behind bars with no parole. You cannot rehabilitate these fucks.

Even some family members who are normally up in arms about misogyny etc said "yeah fair enough" when looking at the verdict of the case. Justice was served, just thankfully that bloke had recorded the whole incident or else he'd probably be in prison.
