I’d say we have a good history of improving and managing injury prone players, probably helped by the short seasons and less intense training programs (compared to overseas).

It’s also really hard to get decent quality Aussie players in general, let alone current Socceroos. We should take anything we can get

Schenkeveld would be a good pick up. Firstly he's a solid performer that fits a gaping hole in the squad. Secondly, City fans will have a sook.

it is being suggested he's previously played in the HAL, so Schenkeveld would fit the bill.

Would be an excellent signing for the season - just to fill the hole left by Valeri in terms of performance as well as leadership.

As for Bart - well, he's a proven performer and so not the silliest signing. Still, I wouldn't be breaking the bank to nab him personally.
