Just got home from the match, legit nabbout blasting kurz for not being very vocal.

Toivonen absolutely lost his shit after being tackled from behind,  some swedish and the good old "motherf#$ker" at end,  but swedish accent made it so good.

Lauton looked ace, elvis solid... some of the kids were pretty good considering they were under pressure alot of the game. 

Kurz didn't really seem to give a shit about losing.

Lauton was - quite the standout.

Maybe we've just become accustomed to the Musky Hairdryer that it seems so odd.

Hopefully he finds his passion in the coming weeks to so to speak, but last night felt like just any other pre-season game, rather than a game where something was actually on the line.

As someone who has won the FFA Cup with Adelaide I woulda expected him to take it a bit more seriously perhaps, maybe he underestimated Newcastle, who knows.

Definitely need a raft of major signings soon though.

Maybe Kurz had already accepted that things had been left too late, so had prepared himself mentally for a loss, so then wasn't too phased when that came to be. 
Shame though. I imagine if it had gone the other way, he would have been going off. 

Can I just say - it's nice to have a striker with a healthy 'shoot farken' attitude. Nabbout is going to have a very fun year if he keeps those goals banging in.

Yeah im thinking this, but i hope to god he keeps giving lauton time, kenny was fucking hopeless, there were a few times where he'd tried to hold the ball up close to us, he just can't do it.

I expected a loss with no midfield and half a backline so it was nice to see a couple goals lol. Am yet to be impressed with Kenny. Lauton was great. Nabbout, Kruse and Ola will have some fun together if ever on park at the same time. Badly need a midfield and a CD.

I was there last night, I thought all the young blokes were great value - Laughton, Lesiotis, Carrigan and even Hope looked much improved. However, it was obvious that by the 70th minute they were completely gassed (to be expected from youth team players on pre-season), so unsurprisingly Newy dominated the game thereafter.

Kruse, Nabbout and Ola will tear this league apart if they ever get on the field at the same time, which is a big if considering no international breaks + their injury histories.
