Victory are my pick for this season. There seems to be a lot of strong squads. Stronger than you'd expect considering all the transfers out. I'm excited that that Victory line-up has 4 younger players in the best 11. Victory usually have veterans with young players as subs. I hope that's a pivot in the approach for us. I like seeing us develop some youth.

Teague, Valadon (the older mids were let go) Bos (over Traore), Vellupillay all starters. A lot of game time for Monge and some starts for recent academy promotions.

+xTeague is some player Tipping to dominate the league if he remains settled and there are no issues Yeah agree. Teague has the potential to head back to Europe. He needs to pick a more accepting league than Portugal. I'd love to see him in the Eredivisie, Jupila Pro League, Swiss Super League etc. After he's won Victory something haha.

I didn't see a heap of the game but there was a moment at 3-0 up, he raced back, did a little step over to change direction and throw the attacker a dummy and then suddenly had two metres and a tonne of time to lay it off and settle it down. You don't see that intensity and thinking often from local players, nor ones 3-0 against a NPL side

+xVictory looked pretty strong last night.... hate to see them in full flight once their season starts. Despite his trouble overseas I think they have a good coach Who knows thought, in years I thought MV will be strong they have floundered. However, one thing different this season is lots of results early on, and playing full squads across NPL pre-season friendly hit outs and Australian Cup games. This is good.

Is Velupillay still considered youth? Now 23, really needs to become a solid A-League player this season. He's had two good pre-seasons but never went on with it. Having another good one now.

I guess it depends on your perspective. I tend to include anyone playing for U23s or earlier. It's kinda qualitative and I can see your point. It's still encouraging for me to see a younger overall 11 and squad.

(Scene cuts to a circus) Yeah not very promising we're lost key players. Fans don't want the gaffer and the club has been extremely quiet with off field things example there no friendlies announced. It's very mundane only the true hardcore ones will show up for this team

Good win v Moreton City. Only caught the second half. I hope Bos was just cramp and not a calf. No ice afterwards makes me think cramp.
Vergos with a double, both headers. Not the best opposition and i'm still skeptical but a good confidence boost will help. Velupillay keeps scoring too.
Adelaide will be a bigger test.
