Would explain the release of baro Didn't we re-sign Donachie? Wouldn't have thought we would go in with Williams, Donks, Deng AND Spira, unless Williams will be 100% playing DM. Which would then probably rule out Milligan. hmmm.

Lets hope the FFA are a bit smarter than that.

16 teams x2 = 30 rounds.
26 is a month too short.

That draw to me looks like it was done so there would be a lot of premium Saturday night FTA fixtures in Melbourne.
Adelaide and both Sydney teams twice at home and obviously the derbies you'd think would all be the FTA games though maybe that's too many to all be.

A football outfit known as the Brazil National Team invited the Victory NPL team to train with them at Lakeside, great stuff for all concerned.

While the first half of your statement is condescending to say the least, I am mildly surprised to find out it alternates year to year that routinely.

Same for Sydney Derby Melbourne, they gave Heart 2 home for the first 2 seasons, but alternated since NJ V CCM alternated since 2008 Probably juggle minor games

Has been for a while but it shouldn't for a few years though to even it up (at least for AU v MV).

While the first half of your statement is condescending to say the least, I am mildly surprised to find out it alternates year to year that routinely. As someone who studies the fixture closely because I do a reasonable amount of away travel, I can tell you that there are predicable trends every year in regards to fixturing. Firstly, the 2H1A and 1H2A system has rotated evenly every year since the league reverted back to 10 teams (after NQ and GCU folded and WSW came into being) 5 years ago. And secondly, the FFA are very boring and predictable with their fixturing. We already know we will play Wellington at home on Cup eve, Sydney at Home on Australia Day, as well as an away Derby Before Xmas. That's OK because these are games we have requested to play in an attempt to build some sort of tradition. But there are many other games that we tend to always play at the same time every season. For example: - We Always play Adelaide away in the first 3 weeks of the season. - We always play Sydney away in mid-November (usually on FIFA international dates). - We always play WSW away in early December. - Many times we have played Perth away the week before Australia Day. - Many times we have played Brisbane away in the first part of March (sometimes on FIFA international dates). just wait for the fixture to be released and I'll bet you most of these games will be the same.
