I don't want to be a drama queen, but the game this Sunday against Perth is a must-win - I fear that if we lose it, with the ACL on the horizon, we just won't be able to catch Perth. Win however, and it draws the margin back to just one point. Should be a ripping game!

Just not quite up to it unfortunately as he does some really nice things. At 21 he has to start putting together, I don't know whether it's him needing to get physically stronger or that he gets in awkward body positioning (or probably both) but he gives me no confidence when he's put under pressure. Just can't keep giving up those kinds of turnovers in the middle of the park

I think that  might be the last we see of Hope. 
With Raul back and Georg, Donks, Honda all coming back plus Elivs looking dangerous I think his last couple of games have sealed his fate.

... one of the reasons Corey left Roar was familiar to a few pastvdepartures. Too much time enjoying himself on the Gold Coast - maybe old habits have returned?

Anyone else notice in the presser after last week Kev mentioned that Corey Brown has been "under duress" the last few weeks. When pressed further Kev sounded kind of awkward and looked away and half stuttered something about having a knock. Might be reading more into it but it sounded like something else was going on with him.
Probably reading too much into it and most likely is just a knock or even just the heavy match load lately, but he definitely hasn't been in the best of form lately. Lucky we have no CB's as I would have Brox in his place instead.

Makes sense, with his injury history we're better off with Donks and Deng at CB and being able to have Baena in midfield.

Maybe he'll bounce back and his performances will demand selection, however.

just hope we haven't left our run too late. with Donks in, i'm expecting Neidermeyer to miss out on ACL.

Round 22 fixture update
Melbourne Victory wishes to advise of a date change to the Club’s Round 22 Hyundai A-League fixture against Brisbane Roar.

The match has been re-scheduled to take place on Saturday 16 March at Marvel Stadium, following a request from Melbourne Victory to the FFA to change it from Friday 15 March.

Kick-off remains at 7.50pm.

The change was made to accommodate the Club’s travel schedule during the Asian Champions League, with the Club due to play away on Tuesday 12 March within Asia. Melbourne Victory would like to thank Football Federation Australia and Brisbane Roar for their cooperation.
