Yeah so am hearing Ange is leaving Mooy on the bench. Interesting decision. Not one i'd make.

Benching our best player in the biggest game in ages. If we scrap a shitty 2-1 win I'm waiting for Ange to talk up an inspiring coaching decision. Sounds like Leckie going to wing back too

Surely this is also the game for Goodwin to play on the left?

Was the last game Mooy didn't play the game against Chile? We seemed to put in a decent enough performance that day.
Rogic should flourish as the main man then tonight if he starts.

He's probably being punished for moving the ball into dangerous areas too quickly and effectively rather than prioritising aimless possession.

Some people on Twitter saying that Mooy is on 2 yellows, and another one tonight would see him suspended for the first of the next round of games (if we make it).

Tonight is do or die so you need your best players playing. Masterstroke if we win, sacked in the morning if we lose. Guess it doesn't matter anyway as Ange will step down if we lose.

It's also Ange likely starting Rogic and many of us on here have complained about Mooy and Rogic starting together. More of a line up like the Chile game would be nice, which didn't include Mooy.

He stated months ago that when we are eliminated from the world cup, whether during the qualifying period or at the finals his tenure is over. Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out Ange I reckon.

For sure play him if we do qualify then he is on 2 yellows for an away game in central america. If he starts and we do well maybe an on purpose yellow if we have the game in the bag ?

If it weren't at 2:00 am PST on a workday, I'd watch. Good luck from California!

+xWas the last game Mooy didn't play the game against Chile? We seemed to put in a decent enough performance that day. Rogic should flourish as the main man then tonight if he starts. Last game he didnt play was against Japan. And surely if the suspension thing is true, you play him tonight go and hope if he gets a yellow he misses the first leg of the next tie rather than the second leg?

I can't find anything saying that you have to serve another suspension if you get a third and it seems kind of unlikely...

Exactly I saw someone mention that the cards reset after this round (no idea if that's true). Could possibly be the only explanation so you guarantee him playing both next legs. Either way you play your best available team to get the result available in front of you. "Saving" him for a potential away tie in central america is crazy for so many reasons. This feels like madness to me. Rogic is likely to get kicked out of the game and go hiding after 20 minutes whereas Mooy can set the tempo from a bit deeper. Jesus damn hell I am nervous

The Syrians will bring the physical dynamic tonight-again. If they score first, that will throw such a spanner in the works!. Nan feels this will be the team tonight for the Socceroos; Cahill Smith (prefer Goodwin) Rogic Kruse Leckie Irvine Milligan (c) Degenek Sainsbury MacGowan Ryan
Mooy Juric Troisi Jurman

Too many great long passes in the first game. Ange wants more slow short passes around the back. I can't believe this. What a deadest spastic.

Ange surely to rotate a bit. If we manage to lead and then get another I can see Ange not bringing Mooy at all. Line up due in around 40min.
