The other way our club can improve is signing players who are winners.
That is nothing to do with talent, it is all about physical and mental toughness, drive and composure.
The club has already shown the ability to stay in the grind and compete.
We need Baz to show us the way to attack, the team needs to keep composure and work to a plan and our leaders have to step up and lead the way when the game is on the line.
The All Blacks culture had a lot of what we need, Hanson can add a lot.
The fact that Baz wanted to recruit Hanson speaks volumes.
Now if a player is a winner and wants to make a difference we are the right club to come to. High standards, good coaching staff, great group of hard working players, club with a history of success and passionate fans.
What we were lacking is more composure and direction in attack, more leadership and higher standards from the whole squad not just half the squad. Flanagan will also add some composure and direction in attack, he doesn't need to be brilliant, just control the game, stay composed and make a difference.

+x+x+x+xI was more interested in Mark Geyer on Triple M talking about Barrett wanting to lure Isaia Yeoh, Stephen Crighton and Matt Burton to the club... Because you’re a shallow thinker. Maybe. But there's no guarantee this bloke can do or change anything. We live in Covid times and the only thing that will improve us atm is a change in the way we play and a change to the roster. If he can lure some RU talent our way, all good. But if he cant, he will join all the other high performance people we had who managed to extract not much from our current roster. Nothing in football comes with guarantees. Well we will get John Timu's 10 cousins.

+x+xMaybe. But there's no guarantee this bloke can do or change anything. We live in Covid times and the only thing that will improve us atm is a change in the way we play and a change to the roster. Marki it’s obvious you just don’t know who this bloke is, his achievements or his standing in sport, and not just HIS sport but sport in general. And that’s not a criticism, just an observation. If there was someone of similar standing in AFL (and there’s not) you’d know him and I wouldn’t. But I can promise you every player in The NRL would know this bloke, and every Kiwi in The NRL would be in awe of him.
I want someone who’s gonna bring winning professionalism and culture to our club that will change us forever and I got it, couldn’t have picked a better man for it if you gave me a week to try.
You want a magnet to attract talent, well you just got yourself an atomic strength electron magnet.
That’s who this bloke is.
You are right, I know very little about RU and even less about their administrators. If this guy is behind the success of the Kiwi RU team of the last 10-15 odd years, then it sounds like a good acquisition. Hope he can transform us into a powerhouse again

As per Telescum Souths have just picked up Totau Moga from the Knights.
Souths also picked up T Milne from the Warriors last week
Even if they release Roberts, they wouldn’t have the $$$ or a backline spot for JAC?

Any news on the Fox?
Not every player gets offered a night out drinking with Dman, Tols didn't.

Another player who didn't get an invite. Quite talented but has had bad luck with injuries. I'm not sure where the Eels get all their cap space.

The Germ Weidler just tweeted that JAC could still stay with the Storm, but has a heads of agreement deal with the Tigers With Souths clearing the decks with Roberts & possibly Allen, then surely JAC is on his way to the Bunnies.
Listening to T Baz on MMM, he sounded more confident of landing Burton than he did with JAC

All I can say is I must have missed a few in the interim...thought the first Daniel Craig one was fair...especially the chase at the beginning but after that computer generated action certainly lessened it,

The other 2 were just movies made for the sake of it. Less Bond and just movies. The franchise needs to figure out what it wants to be. It's trying to appeal to too many different people in order to chase the dollar... Covid has ruined their plans.... There you go......the perfect next script. A megalomaniac wants to infect the world with Covid while he sends a select group of couples to Mars while the earth population dies.. Enter James Bond who in a joint effort with 7 other glamour female agents from around the world, track the maniac down and save the planet. They can call it "Lockdown no More"

Listening to T Baz on MMM, he sounded more confident of landing Burton than he did with JAC JAC definitely worth chasing, a short cut that will probably work. If we don't get him move on to the next target. However, IMO there are multiple bidders and his manager is probably chasing an overs deal from a desperate club. I am happy for us to be motivated, but I don't want us to be desperate. Tigers are chasing one desperate short cut after another.
