+x+xI am not a great fan of his but I agree he is versatile. He looked worse than DWZ catching the high ball in origin but did well for South’s. However the last two that I remember having shockers for QLD on debut were Lockyer and Hodges. He didn’t have a shocker, he dropped a bomb and another ball in general play, along with setting up a try, and set up another what should have been a try except Val Holmes dropped a sitter worse than the two Allen dropped. He’s a solid professional player, on the cusp of being a very very good solid professional player. Won’t ever be superstar but you can’t have them all. At the time I heard he was a potential signing so watched him closely. I recall him being worse but I was on the cans so memory could have been hazy. I hope he is much better than I remember.

It's the fact that he was given a small opportunity at fullback due to Latrell injury - and he took it and excelled in it and it resulted in origin honours. All in the 1 year. Abit like Tommy Turbo. He did his time on the wing and once given a chance at fullback, he took it and made it his own. He can now play centre or wherever he is moved to.

Very good footy player... A FB by trade... Great buy at what would no doubt be a reasonable price...

+x+xCan we bat until drinks in session 3 tomorrow???... Why? What's wrong with winning in last session tomorrow? Nothing, just like winning around tea on day 5.... But according to your expert knowledge we couldn’t possibly win batting first anyway...

+xCan we bat until drinks in session 3 tomorrow???... Yep if Smithy and Labs can bat 270 mins, the other nuffies can last 29 mins. Good standard of test cricket. If I was an Indian batsman, I'll try to catch covid, less risky than facing our quicks 😁

2 wickets down needing 300 in the sessions with the ball reversing and 2 batsmen carrying injuries. If India did win, it will be one of the all time great victories, especially if the mock tips them.
On the other hand the wicket seems to be dying, hanging on for a heroic draw isn't impossible, but again is far from easy. Start playing for the draw too early and you will soon be surrounded by chirping fielders.

I assume all sessions are not session 3 for Dman, at least when it comes to drinking decisions. It is the same when you attend a match. Coffee before the game is certain, beer before lunch 50/50, beer after/during lunch and tea are a certainly. My experience is some seem to start drinking from ball 1, at least they are well drunk soon after lunch.

No.... but lucky they got us out for 330 in first innings..... otherwise we may have batted longer and India may have only been put into bat with 4 sessions left. It's a dangerous game you play when you give yourself only 4 sessions to bowl a team out. Its reinforced by Winviz which had the Aussies at 90% to win at stumps yesterday while it has us at 88% at stumps today. Why? Because it expected us to declare earlier and allow the bowlers more overs to get India out. Statistically we will still likely win, but theres always as chance you can encounter a stubborn few partnerships that can drag the game to a draw.
