Some enthralling cricket happening on the final day.  For Jackson Bird to get 10 for the match on this dead AO deck is some feat. and should take the Tigers to victory.

The Bulls looks like blowing victory and could even lose the match if they dont remove Harris soon. A draw is the favorite.

Cameron Bancroft's second  stonewalling knock for the match is eating up valuable time for the Blues to push for victory over at Bankstown Oval.

Reckon with Ed and Jackson it was a case of  the selectors making a crook error of judgement. I was gobsmacked when they allowed Cowan to leave. There are many more former Blues who found greener pastures in Tassie. Can you name them?

I don't think it is.

NSW often has an incredible amount of depth.

Look at the NSW attack without the current Test line up of Lyon, Cummins, Hazlewood ( I'd drop him anyway he hasn't performed in the last year) and Starc.

Copeland, Abbot, O'Keefe, etcetera.

Ar times I've seen players barely good enough to get in the NSW squad when all the Test stars are absent, who would probably  be regulars in other states' Shield teams.

As a TCA member you should be able to name some of those others Blues imports?

Winter gets Doolan. Now well see if Wakim can whack em as the Tigers still need 70 in not a lot of time.

Marcus Harris clubs 174 to guide the Victorians to a win against Queensland after scoring 95 in the first innings. Making things very tough for the selectors.
Bancroft also with 86 to follow his century and scoring over half of WA's runs in the match.
Burns a nice double of 60 and 80 but failing to make a century
Weatherald, who is not in contention for a Ashes spot, also scoring 150 in SA's second innings.

So the openers, apart from Renshaw, are standing up and demanding to be picked.
Patterson also made a statement with his century.
Head made a 50 double, Wade made 77 but failed in the second innings, Labuscagne scored a 50 had decent games.

On the bowling side of it Jackson Bird the massive stand out and 4 spinners had good matches, Swepson, O'Keefe, Holland and O'Connor, the last one with a 5 wicket haul on debut.

A delay from the Gabba between the host Bulls and Blues. Blues are same as last week while Stanlake and McSweeney come in for the Bulls.

The WA Warriors are hosts to the SA Redbacks in Perth. Three hr time delay.

Where is the Tigers v Bushies match. Nothing on the CA or Cricinfo sites?

For some reason this match is not starting until Tuesday.

Heck the Blues put in on a raging Gabba greentop. Plenty of application required by our top order..

The new Dukes is loving this Gabba deck.

Good toss for Bulls to win. Blues in trouble at lunch.

Disappointing to see WA drop Liam O'Connor after taking 5 wickets in his only innings on debut. Surely they do not need 4 quicks plus Mitch Marsh and Hilton Cartwright.

SA giving a debut to NT fast bowler Luke Robins, no Chadd Sayers and also no spinner.

Billy Stanlake playing first class cricket, a bit of surprise. Only his third match and first one since two in 2015. His average in those two matches was 21.57

And WA's 6th fast bowler (well medium bowler) Cartwright gets Weatherald to break the decent opening partnership. Now can Lehmann score some runs at 3.

I was astounded that O'Connor was dropped. What sort of signal is that sending to the young leggie. "Hey mate go and get us a five for and guess what we will dump you for the next match". Has Short even played a match this year?

Tell me why the WACA always seems to have live stream problems?

Why not the home grown quick David Grant to replace Sayers. Not an import. . These young cricketers really do get a a bad time as they try to make their way in the game.

I am rather impressed by Liam Guthrie.

You do know that another impressive youngster Cameron Green is out with back trouble. That is a crying shame.

Betting no more than NSW.  A heap of them in the 80/90s. Rod Tucker, Dirk Wellham, Steve Small, Dave Gilbert, Scott Hookey, Gavin Robertson, Damien Wright, Greg Rowell, Paul Hutchison.  Notice a large contingent of overseas players too. Holding, Stephenson, R. Hadlee, Sadiq Mohammed, Rohan Kanhai, Knott, Peter Lever.

Can anyone tell me what the deck is like at the WACA. We know of its famed bounce but is it a greentop. Wickets are tumbling there too.

14 wickets fell in both matches.

Cartwright took 2/3 off his first over and then did not get another bowl. Seems a bit strange. At least give him another over.
Marsh did not bowl so it seems my guess that he was playing as a batsman only was correct.

O'Connor was not the only spinner dropped after a good match, Swepson was dropped by Queensland as well. O'Keefe survived in the NSW side but will Holland play for Victoria?

Swepson only picked up late wickets. People are saying he is on the wane. On the other hand O'Connor picked off top order players. He looks a  good'n. A name you will be hearing of in the next few years is Devlin Malone.. a Sydney leggie.

I felt the same way about Cartwright. Sometimes it is difficult to fathom the thinking of a skipper.  So if 14 wickets fell in the Perth game too then that must have been a green monster like Brissie. I will be spitting chips if there is no live stream today.

The Gabba seems to be settling down somewhat. The Dukes tho remains a danger for all batsmen.

South Australia seem to be ahead against Western Australia but maybe the pitch is just getting better for batting. Head with another 50 and still going might be the key to the contest, Worral needs to keep giving him support
Cartwight has taken another 2 top order players and his bowling has been key to WA being still in with perhaps a chance of winning.4/31 match figures so far and he has hardly bowled.
