+x+x+x+xAussie Test quicks Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins have bowled 25 overs between them in their red ball comeback. The sooner both are firing up for the Blues the better. I was hoping no one noticed the performance of 2 of our Australian bowling attack against the Tasmanian 2nd eleven, with the Tasmanians scoring 600 runs only losing 14 wickets. Hazlewood 22 overs 1/42 Cummins 23 overs 3/63 Not an inspiring performance. You would expect an international attack would tear a sub 1st class side apart. If they weren't who they are they would not be elevated to the NSW side. Especially when young Alex Pyecroft took 4/15 showing there was enough in the wicket for bowlers. With the poor performance of Starc currently in Pakistan we do need miracles soon. Who is the current bowling back up???? M Marsh.....surely 30 tests for him is enough, can't bat, can't bowl.....but lets make him VC. Let's bring Copeland back. Gabe Bell is going from strength to strength. Welcome to the forum, Mike. Feel free to post in the Pakistan Second Test thread, mate. Copeland is an underrated bowler. Mikes favorite pastime is Blues bashing. He only comes on these forums to trash Blues bowlers and batsmen who he deems do not deserve a Baggy Green : He is as parochial a Qlder as you will find.. Mike also rarely answers his PMs.

I signed out of other forum mate as it was jinxed.,. too many nongs and trolls. DC. I asked the question on Test thread if Australia had bowlers of the ilk of Philander and Abbas. yes we do one Trent Copeland. But because he does bot bowl at 140kph our brainless selectors wont pick him. Copeland looked innocuous a few years back although bowling tightly at Bellerive. I've met his grandparents in the members. Recently he has improved. We certainly need a bowler who can bowl with an economy of action and whose body does not break down through having great stress on the body when they bowl. We have five bowlers who can all bowl over 140 kph, even at times reaching 150kph - Stanlake, Pattinson, Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood. Yet they are rarely fit at the same time! The only time many of these were fit was i and English One Day series. The Aussie batters said it was hell in the nets facing Pattinson, Johnson, Starc and Cummins at the same time!

+xIn breaking news: Nic Maddinson, Fawad Ahmed and Andrew Fekete have each earned contract upgrades and join Victoria's 26-man squad for the 2018-19 season. Fekete was playing for Tasmania not long ago.

+xJackson Bird picks up a five for. Tigers now with a mammoth first innings lead. I'm a bit surprised Bird hasn't been been selected for the UAE. Good on him.

Tassie squandering its big lead.
Should have enforced the follow on perhaps as this Gabba green top is still doing plenty on the third day.

+xWill Pucovski bags his second Shield ton. Another of our young batting turks. Pucovski becomes the ninth youngest player to ever score a double 100 before his 21st birthday.

+x+x+x+xWill Pucovski bags his second Shield ton. Another of our young batting turks. Bulls struggling. Useless Blues attack struggling to make inroads. Bulls counter-attacking. Warriors in big trouble at the WACA. Sams strikes removing Ferguson. Tower lites blazing here at the AO. The Blues badly need a wristie as their main spinner. SOK just does not create pressure.

+xBlues imploding after looking comfortable overnite. This deck looks far better than the score indicates. Perhaps there is some moisture under the surface?

+x+xPlay expected to start at AO at 12.40. Take a look at Jack Edwards dismissal. This was what I was afraid of with his technique. By the time he moves his back leg into position it is too late. For heavens sake someone tweak his technique. This kid is a walking wicket! :w00t: Why do Blues keep picking loser O'Keefe.
