I was with some of the regular Socceroo away fans at a restaurant near the stadium after the Thailand away game, and without prompt he said: "that tifo was a great idea, now who's idea was it... oh wait, mine!" It was just too awkward to acknowledge so everyone just ignored it. I cringed so hard when I read that and I'm pretty sure you would've too being there at the time. With this guy in charge, I can't see this ending well.

+x Why the FFA didn’t just run a selection process for those three city’s god only knows. It's pretty normal in corporate circles, its about presenting a facade to the public to create an illusion of fairness and transparency to justify the already made decision. Bit like when they advertise jobs for positions which a preferred candidate has already been selected, or run tenders when there is a pre-chosen supplier already (ala Joe Hockey and the travel agency scam).
