+xThey are doing more good than bad, unlike Western United they building links to the community i guess it's one of the good things of coming into the a league later is they can build the foundation they need to have. They just got to build a team now, when are they allowed to sign players for next season? They can sign whenever they want, but obviously until the transfer window opens up they are pretty much restricted to free agents. Then there is the question of why would a player sign for a club that doesn't play a competitive game for another 12 months. I doubt we will see any signings until the end of the current HAL season is near it's end and players are coming off contract.

They can approach A-League players coming off contract at the end of this season in January 2020.

Are MFC playing any teams at the NPL level to get players warmed up? Not sure how that would work...

I think Western United started signing players at the start of the year.

Waikato Rugby Team in NZ has had cow bell at if games since day one. The team nic name is the MooLoo's (as in cow) Supporters ring, https://www.sportssafari.co.nz/product/catalogue/rugby-league/mitre-10-cup-1/waikato-mooloo-cowbell , them at all games and it drives most mad.

"Macarthur FC executive chairman Rabieh Krayem says the club is aiming to launch its W-League team by 2021 and will play out of Campbelltown Stadium. Mr Krayem told FNR the club’s A-League, W-League and National Youth League teams will play out of the same venue and will have their own sections in the club’s centre of excellence. “Our W-League team we’re looking at 2021 and we’re looking for a National Youth League team next year, so that is the plan to move forward,” he said. “Campbelltown Stadium is our home ground and that’s where everyone will be playing.“It will be [a base], it’s important as a club there is no difference between the male, female or the academy. “Home is Campbelltown Stadium and we have to treat everybody equally, the centre of excellence that we’re building will have special permits built for our W-League team as it will our youth team, as well as the indigenous community and of course our A-League side.” As revealed by The Sydney Morning Herald, the club will pay just one-dollar to hire the stadium and have agreed a ten-year lease with the council."I'd forgotten the peppercorn rent for the stadium and being able to use it for all teams is great.. Everything is falling in to place for the club. https://footballnationradio.com/2019/11/08/macarthur-fc-a-league-w-league-nyl-teams-to-share-campbelltown-stadium/?fbclid=IwAR0YsU-XrXjizj32wfk00iYtnk-kWVtQMTygQ0Gd7beR_7eMKYpfBLi2grQ

Is anyone who's from Sydney able to, on a map, draw out lines on where we think Macarhur FC's catchment will be? and if they're really good, chuck in WSW and Sydney FC's catchment as well

+xIs anyone who's from Sydney able to, on a map, draw out lines on where we think Macarhur FC's catchment will be? and if they're really good, chuck in WSW and Sydney FC's catchment as well The question is how far North their support will go, will people from Liverpool get behind it? Are they behind WSW or are they waiting for their own team or Marconi/SydneyUTD/Bonnyrig to come in? There isn't much to the East of Campbelltown except National Parks and catchment areas so cant see much of a clash with SFC. Part of their catchment/association is with Bankstown though, right? That would give them a huge slice of the population if they can get supporters from around there as well. Campbelltown, Narellan, Camden, Minto and Southern Highlands is a huge area and growing fast, particularly with the new airport going in, so shouldn't be any shortage of fish if they can sell it right.

I think MFC are pushing into Fairfield as well.

They will pick up Wollongong fans.

I tend to think MFC will be a success, as they seem to be making the right moves to build their foundations and have done some great business so far.

There is no chance in hell people in Bankstown will be looking at Macarthur as their team.
Bankstown will mostly be wsw with Sydney FC having a few fans from there too.
The cut off point for Macarthur will be Liverpool when heading East of Sydney.

that is a large area to expand on for Macarthur FC
i reckon if the growth area gets too big further south, it'll be big enough for another A-league side.
