Did anyone go to the airport to see the boys off this arvo?
I'm also tossing between going to Hindmarsh to watch the Baby Reds play their final regular season game or stay at home to watch the Wellington v Newcastle game tomorrow... the choices...

Without wishing Fury ill, as I like them. With the FFA suggesting their players find new clubs, I wonder if Marrone will reconsider his future with the Reds?

Tonight will really test the 'revival' of AU. If we come away with a win or draw we can justifiably start to dream of glory again.
No, not that purple mob. :)

So now that we're winning matches again, is there anything to talk about? :p
The Baby Reds have their semi final tomorrow over in Perth. Let's hope them all the best and see if we can make a second consecutive grand final appearance, and win it this time around. :)

Apparently we will hear news about van Dijk on Monday. Hopefully it's news he has signed for 2 years with us. Even 1 year would be nice. :)

We do tend to slow down a lot during the off season, hopefully things will keep ticking along with the new owners and the ACL and the World Cup. Still it is a very long time til the '10/'11 season kicks off...

I echo the sentiments above from Reds United that there seems less to talk about now things seem to be going well.
All i want to keep saying is cliches like C'mon you Reds etc :d
Can't wait for next Wednesday. Will be great to play 6 days later as well. having a fortnight between games is killing me!!!
Great news Sergio, indifferent news Pants. Would love to know how much Pants is on coz if he doesnt cost us much of the cap I'd have no real problem but being vice captain and all i imagine he's doing ok...
Will he stay vice captain next season??...probably i guess :-s

I hope not, the armband is wasted on him to be honest - same with Dodd. We have relied on others for onfield inspiration and leadership over the course of the season.

News from Tuesday regarding our opponents for next Wednesday: Quote:Blow to Hiroshima as Takahagi ruled out
Tuesday, 16 March 2010 12:40
Hiroshima: Sanfrecce Hiroshima’s bid to bounce back in the AFC Champions League following two defeats suffered a blow when midfielder Yojiro Takahagi was ruled out for their remaining continental games.
The 23-year-old suffered a knee injury during the side’s 2-1 victory over Vissel Kobe in the J-League on Sunday.
This was the first victory for Mihailo Petrovic’s charges in the domestic league.
Takahagi had given Hiroshima a 2-0 lead seven minutes before the hour mark after his teammate Koji Nakajima opened the account in the 21st minute. Yoshito Okubo pulled one goal back for Vissel Kobe.
According to the club’s official website, the doctors have diagnosed a damage of medial collateral ligament on Takahagi’s right knee and he will be out of action for eight weeks.
Hiroshima have failed to opened their account in their maiden continental campaign going down to Shandong Luneng (0-1) and Pohang Steelers (1-2). They will meet Australia’s Adelaide United on March 24. Edited by RedsUnited: 17/3/2010 11:10:36 PM

Anyone hearing anything on the new owners of adelaide. Everything has dried up my end . Just worried about the stadium deals destroying the bid . or maybe it is just the election and waiting to see which stadium will be made

I hate the election. Neither stadium deal is concrete and neither tickles my fancy as a football fan.
- Labor's upgraded Adelaide Oval = rock hard surfaces which would only be re-laid for any potential World Cup games provided we win the bid.
- Liberal's new multipurpose stadium on the railyards = multi-purpose, expensive, the AFL clubs will get first pick, upgrade current RAH??, nothing set in stone (at least Adelaide Oval has already started its upgrade)
Like I said, I hate the state election.

They would have made a big deal of it at the announcement. This gives us room to get a quality player for the marquee role.

I don't like the sound of this...from the live blog of the friendly Vs Mariners earlier... 71' - Adam Griffiths stumbles over the ball under minimal pressure, Brady Smith dispossesses him and forces Birighitti into a great save low at the left post Bloody hell...I really rated him but it seems a while away from playing has not done him any good... Yeah, it'll be around that much for us too. They're selling the Jims Plumbing version for $80 at the club store. I only want the ACL one because it has StudyAdelaide on it... for my holiday in Japan next month. :P
