+x+x+xHate to add to the pile on but that was really poor... Wolves deserved the two late goals but apart from 10 mins at the start and maybe 5-10 mins late in second half (before they switched off and copped two junk time goals) Spuds were abysmal... Madison leaves a HUGE un-fillable hole in this squad... Ange better hope for some signings in Jan as the depth just isnt there... Tough few months ahead, how they recover from this is anyone's guess... Arsenal are solid, Man City , despite a bumpy couple of weeks are .... welll Man City and the mighty Redmen are cooking up a merry storm...... Top 4 finish is still achievable I think but ...... its a loooooong season. Good luck Angie baby, go get em. There is a case to move Kulusevski into Maddison's position and have Johnson play wide right. Cannot have a midfield of Bissouma, Sarr & Hojberg and expect to create anything. Bissouma will be out next game so I imagine Hojberg will drop into the 6, with Sarr as the 8, but would like to see Kulu as the 10. Hard to see Kulu playing as a true 10 though mate... His speed sees him get in behind the fullback but with the ball at his feet I reackon he would have trouble picking out Son's run. Bissouma is not the answer clearly, what ever happened to Solomon? Regardless, how interesting is it to see an EPL team play with a true #10 for a change though, I hope Madisson is back soon. He's played in the centre of midfield a number of times for Sweden before. He doesn't have the swagger of Maddison, but he is a very effective dribbler and ball carrier, which was sorely lacking against Wolves. Now with Bissouma out (another effective ball carrier pre-5 yellow cards) it seems like this profile of player is a necessity in midfield against Villa. Maddison won't be back until mid-Jan.

+x+x+x+xHojberg is all huff and puff, his yellow tally is more than his assists/goals combined the last 4seasons lol....... No Hojberg fault. Ange played 3 defensive minded midfielder, nobody to link the midfield and attack. Additionally Emerson Royal is utter tosh, and the centre backs are hopeless on the ball. In the end their lack of match fitness was exposed. Ange ball starts from the back and Spurs just couldnt get any cohesion between the defense and midfield. We all know his projects take a season or two so this season was always going to be a bonus anyway. To be fair they were lucky to be on top, they would arguably be mid table were it not for Vicario's heroics. and where would Liverpool be if it weren't for Alisson's heroics? Probably about the same place. tbh not a good example but for sure Ali is the beast of the EPL and his heroics maintain balance at crucial moments, every good club would luv a clone Ali no :) BUT our stats as per quite a few seasons passed have us scoring more than whats gone into our net. This season were at GF 27 GA 10 - yep Ali keeps a crucial game or moment together but our chances created are plenty just need to put more away though 27 on 12 games who's complaining from our perspective :). Same applies to Citeh, take Haaland away from last and this season same applies And Ederson is another top shelf GK. https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/2023-24/top-scorers.htmlDiaz only 7games Gakpo 6, Nunez yet to find consistancy - https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-city/2023-24/top-scorers.htmlLFC and citeh have good/great midfielders and subs to cover might I add compared to spudz the divide is massive and Maddison is the only one that can keep them fluid and going forward way more than any other in their ranks, so they need him to play the next 27 games that obviously is already effecting them. haha robbos, have fun with your LFC mates whatever happens ahead you never know who laughs last till the end. That sand money gonna be gold like when little master coutinho went to barca but way more. The point I was making had more to do with Vicario being the reason Tottenham are higher than what they are, as you could make a similar argument about any team if you removed a key player.

+xOh no doubt MO is the Arab King - will be interesting what he ends up doing sooner or later in his court next time - the GOAT went to MLS instead :) Spoke to some of my Liverpool mates tonight & told him MO moving to Saudi & watched them all get upset. I can understand it, I think MO is arguably the best player ever in the PL, his headed goal against Brentford was effortless. What a player, I'm a massive fan. Yes you are right, GOATs are a matter of opinion.

robbos, you'd think your LFC mates would be informed instead of reacting for talk about MO has gone on and on since start of the season and coming window - they need to be prepared nothing last forever or gauranteed. Interesting I came across this - didn't know Dier learnt his trade at Sporting Youth ranks for some 9yrs then to Snrs. https://sport.optus.com.au/news/premier-league/os65954/tottenham-premier-league-title-chances-eric-dierHe never ended up like a Pepe haha Your a wise cookie as they say re matter of opinions, too right, the real One is next to the hand of God might I add lol......

Yes I knew Dier learnt his trade in Portugal, I wasn't sure which team. Dier Choose England ahead of Portugal, but he was English. Pepe was 18 years old before he left Brazil & moved to Portugal & when eligible choose to represent Portugal. Dier is a solid player, maybe a little player, maybe lacks the ability to read game. Pepe is a great reader of the game & that allows him to still play high level at 39 years old, but he has a dirty side that has costs Portugal many times.

For all his wrongs his feats on the pitch single handed so so many times were amazing But the big one compared to others he left a massive club to a never won title mid lower table Napoli and I really rate that above the few goats.

Maradona (many wrong doings) Ronaldinho (party boy) & Ronaldo Nazario (injuries) all put up performances that were out of this world, but for reasons listed they didn't have the longevity or media scrutiny that Cristiano Ronaldo & Messi had to put with. All 3 (former) won world cups but their club careers were not of good as the latter 2. Yes Maradona played for Napoli, but he did play for Barcelona, where he won very little. Maradona's performance at 1986 WC was the greatest performance by any player ever, Ronaldo Up & until 1998 WC was outstanding then injuries & came back to score 2 goals in WC final. Ronaldinho, some of his performances were outrageous but was never consistent.

Yep the kid is out for a little while….. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-xi-vs-aston-villa-predicted-lineup-confirmed-team-news-injury-latest-premier-league-today-b1122654.html
Villa did the double against them last season - gonna be an interesting spurs line up. At home they just may hang in there but I’m expecting Villa get the points.

Reduced bench for Spurs and two keepers. I guess Ange wouldn't throw any academy player on. Good to see some of the reserves out there to see if there's some buy in to the system.

Nice to see the rag tag 11 respond and score. Good fortune for a close offside Villa goal taken back. Was off but it's just too close and I look forward to the rule changing.

FFS Villa level with last kick of half. Deserved yet Spurs need to clamp down on this before it becomes a habit.

What a fucked run for Spurs. Totally outplayed Villa, hit bar twice, three disallowed goals and still lose. Brutal for Ange.

Spurs apparent ragtag bunch went really hard today. A 2:1 loss where Villa were also very composed. Interesting though how much space each afforded that led to chances. A fun game to watch. General online sentiment is the winter window is huge to consolidate. Got to get back to winning soon.

They put up a good game as mentioned playing at home. The game is brutal or beautiful depending where you stand. City next away - that’s gonna hurt unless city send on a 2nd 11 will be the only hope.

I remember when Norwich beat them because of the press and transition. It's going to be interesting as Spurs will likely overstretch their lines and City can move and score at half pace. I just hope for a thriller and not a slow possession based City stroll.

now that they have Haaland they are not as slow in building up, they can play ball behind backlines much more than in the past - he's fast and runs into gaps all game. And frigging Doku is a massive handfull down the left flank, luvs taking on the defense for an opening or offload, hardly lose's the ball. I'm sure Ange will stick to his usual game plan, that backline is going to be stretched to the hilt - LFC better overall on the park than Spurs and with all the errors and luck broke a 23 match Etihad winning streak. They'll be pissed, I think it maybe ugly though I hope not for Ange.
