Morelos for Rangers out for the season. An equally cruel blow for Rangers as losing Kyogo for three months was for Celtic. Celtic adapted their play and have done ok without Kyogo, although have struggled to break teams down in some games, so it will be interesting to see whether Rangers can similarly adapt in the homewards stretch.

I was reading that Manchester United may be interested in Ange.

That would be a very interesting development.

Quite a bit of talk about Ange moving south, simply on the basis of his rebuild at Celtic.  The City group know him intimately. I could be wrong and money always talks but I could see Ange happy to have four or five years at Celtic and throwing himself into branding Celtic with his DNA and philosophy and then moving to a director of football role with the club.

I'd like to see Ange end up at Everton in either division. Epl is exactly that. Championship is so tough to get out of and that would be a challenge he'd relish alsom

I think Ange at Everton would be a long term project and while I agree he would relish it, I think Celtic is a project for him as well.  He has had to rebuild a whole
squad.  He has basically said he wants to do well in Europe and at the moment it seems like he could do that sooner at Celtic than Everton.  Of course, money talks. He might go to a club like Everton if they survive the drop and the e Board make the right noises but given his European ambitions I highly doubt he would take them in the Championship, unless he gets sacked from Celtic.

I love seeing this. I remember when Ange was first announced they were absolutely bagging him on Talksport UK radio.

Its funny seeing them backtrack and act like they all believed Strachan at the start haha - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ygN_Rqo1ik

No hangover for Celtic after last week’s win against Rangers, with a 7-0 victory over St. Johnston over night to go nine points ahead with a game in hand. No televised sadly. Rangers play tonight then both have five games to go with a six point gap I imagine.  In the weirdness of the last five game split of Scottish football, where the top six play each other, apparently the first game will be Celtic v Rangers. This means the semi-final of the Cup will be Celtic v Rangers then a week later the first league game of the split will be Celtic v Rangers. Apparently, instead of scheduling it later, the administrators don’t want the league decided in a derby match. I assume but would love to have confirmed by a long term fan, that this is to avoid fan violence afterwards from whoever loses?

He's done the same thing with Tommy - wasn't getting hardly any minutes the last 3 years under Lennon and now he's having one of his best seasons ever. As a Roar fan, always thought Ange was a legend.

It was televised. Subscribe to Celtic TV if you want to see all the games. Celtic were relentless and it could easily have been double figures. I don't recall Hart having to make a save. The hoops made 964 passes with 84% possession.

Rangers play tonight then both have five games to go with a six point gap I imagine.
There is no guarantee that they will beat St Mirren away. The gap could just as easily remain at 9 points.Although most likely the huns will take the points it is far from a given.

apparently the first game will be Celtic v Rangers.
It is probable but should Sevco lose tonight then most likely not.

@Lurker, fair point about Celtic Tv and I should have specified Kayo, which has been pretty good this season. I reckon I have watched about ten Celtic matches on Kayo and a handful of Rangers matches as well. I have also watched both their games in Europe on Stansport. I have contemplated subscribing to Celtic Tv but I have so many subscription services already it’s not funny and I’d have to trade something else  in.  I can’t see Rangers losing tonight, as St Mirren have several of their first team out injured and their coach ripped into the players last weekend quite savagely - would not be a happy place at St Mirren, but then again, nor might Rangers be happy at the moment. It’s on Kayo tonight so I’ll watch the first half before heading off to bed.

No.

Celtics first game is away to Ross County on 24th April.
They are then home to the Rangers on 1st May.

The crazy thing about this draw, it is possible that Celtic could end up winning the League in the match against the other lot (unless I have missed/overlooked something which is quite possible).

If Celtic beat Ross County in our first game of the split, along with the other lot failing to take maximum points in their game again Motherwell, it would see Celtic extending the gap by either 8 or 9 points. Take that potential 8 or 9 point gap followed up with Celtic winning the next/last League Glasgow derby, that would see Celtic's lead at the top of the Table to 11 or 12 points with only three League matches remaining. That would see the Huns mathematically out of contention.

Although it is highly unlikely to unfold as mentioned, the possibility is still there (as mentioned above - unless I have missed/overlooked something).

As Sutherlandbear mentioned last week, one of the reason for the way the draw for split rounds work is to limit the chances of one of the Glasgow sides winning the League against the other Glasgow side due to how volatile the fixture is. So the above scenario was either a huge oversight on the SPFL part, or they are confident that the above scenario won't come into fruition. If it is the latter, then that's a huge gamble on their part.

I personally feel/think they decided to take the gamble so not to have back-to-back-to-back succesive Glasgow derby matches.

It was payback for the horrendous Cinch deal. Two old firms back to back has been done many a time.

beIN Sports are showing both live, so Kayo Sports should also.

As for the matches, I personally would like to see a Celtic-Hibs Final, but I won't be holding my breath nor betting any money on that outcome (I've never been one for predicting derby outcomes).

True, but I am reminded of Croatia in the 2018 World Cup who still managed to outclass England over 120 minutes despite playing two 120 minute games on the road to the semi-final. Their confidence will be up too after a big win.

Good point. Confidence and momentum can’t be measured but do seem to have an effect. Might depend on who scores first I think.

Yes. The Rangers will not have had enough time to recover completely. Celtic have had a week to prepare and will be fresh but anything could happen. It could be tight or a Celtic whitewash. For the huns the first 30 minutes will be critical.  They need to score early but they did and that didn't help them at Ibrox. The longer the game progresses the harder it will be for them.
