Great result. With 6 games to go, and a 6 point lead, it’s certainly getting interesting.

One of the best football matches I have watched for some time. A credit to both sides. Hard fought, fast, skilful, the match was awesome. Each side has a penalty shout and I think the ref got it right both times. Celtic had so many good performers. CCV, Starfeldt and Taylor were massive at the back. Juranovic a bit off today. Hart behind them with one cracking save late in the game. In midfield, Hatate ordinary but Rogic and CalMac very good. CalMac an amazing leader. Bitton steadied the ship when he came on. Up fromt, Giakomakis and Maeda ran their guts out and their defensive efforts were incredible. It’s not over but with a sox point lead with six games to go this is Celtic’s to lose now.

Getting interesting? Its surely all over. Celtic are into $1.05 now to win the title. They also have a massive goal difference advantage so can afford to lose twice.

Can't seem to find Celtic's remaining fixtures. I'm assuming they play Rangers one more time in the league? If so it's not quite over just yet.

Looks like they've got the title which is going to be egg on the face of a lot peeps in Scotland. I probably didnt think he'd last if they didnt get results straight away Having said that there was only realistically two acceptable results before league started - 1st or 2nd.
Someone will def come in for him, be interesting to see how he'd go with a club for example around Leeds, Newcastle, Celto Vigo, Espanyol or Stuttgart level etc...mid to lower table big league clubs.
If he stays at Celtic - europe and his ability to get the team up against stronger squads is his real test
Anyway, great season and he's made super strategic decisions this year, and if he wins I am guessing it's the 1st aussie coach to win a euro league since Aussie MAco Zoran Zemotovski took Bitula 3rds to the Macedonian Northern 5th league to the title in 2002

Not putting those chances away could have cost Celtic but they defended well. It’s not arrogant, premature or ill informed to say the League is now Celtic’s to lose. If they don’t win it will be the mother of all comebacks for Rangers.

They play 33 games before the split. Then play the other 5 teams in your half for a 38 game season. While Celtic still play Rangers again they still have 4 matches remaining at home and only 2 away. Celtic have take 69 of their last 75 points (3 draws), now without midweek games I would expect them to win out really. They have a cup semi final at Hampden Park against Rangers in 2 weeks which will be massive as well.

Yes but it isn’t going to happen 4 of the 6 remaining games are at Parkhead. They can lose the away games and nothing Rangers can do will enable them to catch up.

Not only would they have noted the astonishing turnaround in fortunes but also his brand of football would appeal to them. They would be taking a punt on a relative unknown, just like Celtic, in the face of probably strong opposition. But with his links to Man City I can't see him being considered for the job and I think he'll want at least another season at Celtic anyway, maybe more.

Three of the 5 post split fixtures need to be at home based on the number of times Celtic have played the possible contenders away already. In fairness 4 of those games should be at home but that won't happen. The next game is v the fakes at home.

Watched the second half only and Rangers dominated Celtic. Probably should have had a hand ball penalty given for them and Giamoukis would have been sent off straight red in any other game.
Still, Abada should have scored at least one where it was harder to miss than score.
I think Postecoglou has matured since taking over and has become a bot more results focused-probably after losing games to Real Betis and Leverkusen, where they got something more out of than they did.
Can see he has eyes on Champions League next season and winning the league is absolutely number one priority now.

+x+xClearly he has. It’s an odd format I must say. And when you search up the match list the five extra games aren’t even listed as TBC, so for casual (read here Ange) observers it’s a fair mistake I guess. So it’s still wide open. Assuming Rangers beat Dundee overnight there’s seven games to get to 38 games, and 21 points still up for grabs, including two Glasgow derbies. What’s your guess on the date for the final derby game? I’ve read the SPFL don’t like scheduling this as the final game of the season - why is this? Something historical I guess that newcomers like me have no idea about. Probably the first game of the split. Due to Celtic fans and players being unable to control themselves in 1999, the SPL / SPFL have had this policy in place.
Somehow I had a feeling this comment would age well 😅 The home fans on Sunday showed the world nothing but class with all the glass and coins etc thrown on the field/and at Celtic players and staff 🙄😲

Has anyone heard if ' Footyball/Soccerfoo' is doing ok since the Huns pulled out of the "Sydney Super Cup" Tournament?? I hope nothing bad has happened to him, and he is doing fine. I haven't heard from him since before the announcement of the cancellation of the Glasgow Derby Sydney match that he was so convinced was going to take place regardless.

Can see he has eyes on Champions League next season and winning the league is absolutely number one priority now. Across the whole game Celtic pretty much had the 4-5 clear cut chances of the game. Joe Hart only really had one save to make. Rangers did dominate the 2nd half but never looked threatening, it was basically get it out wide, whip in cross, and Celtic defenders gobbling it up.
I don’t think Ange has changed that much, against Betis and Leverkusen he didn’t have a bench, so when his starters were gassed he had to put on players with far lower quality. On the weekend one of the players be brought on (O’Reily) got smashed in a challenge, Ange took him off for I think Bitton and he didn’t really lose any quality, that wasn’t the case 3-4 months ago. Even in the league cup final he had to play an injured Kyogo to feel confident of winning it, he wouldn’t have to make that gamble now.
it’s been a pretty impressive rapid fire rebuild. Helped by the fact that Rangers aren’t much chop, having a 6 point lead at the winter break turn into a 6 point deficit now is laughable. If Ange closes this out and they get the CL money he should comfortably win the league every year. No doubt he will want European success

Why would there be difficulty in holding on to Abada? He is on a five year contract. Whether Jota signs a permanent deal is up to him. Celtic have a 6 million pound option to buy.

Don't forget that although the huns are 6 points and 16 goals behind Celtic they are still 19 points clear of third placed Hearts.
