My understanding is that the SPFL receives £30 million per year for the TV rights. The EPL receives £1,650 million.
Scotland's population is 5.5 million. England's 56 million.
So the SPFL receives £5.45 for the deal per head of population. The EPL receives £29.65 per head. That is criminal.
Does a greater percentage of the population watch football in England? I highly doubt it.  But there are more EPL games available to broadcast.

Thankfully Sky allows the clubs to televise their own games.

It is highly unlikely that it will be that way from next season onwards. Sky only really allowed it due to COVID. Not only will that more than likely change back to pre-COVID, but the 3pm blackout will more than likely return (if it hasn't already).

Yes, if we win the League. Both teams will go straight into the Group Stage. The only difference being it would see the other lot be seeded in 'Pot A'.

I seriously hope Celtic win convincingly tomorrow night and settle the League in their favour. If Celtic do this, I know rusted on ‘real’ Celtic fans will have a different view to me but as a johnny-come-lately ‘plastic’ Celtic fan I would then be happy for Rangers to win the Europa. It would be great for Scottish football and they have played really well. It would also throw down the gauntlet to the Celtic board to back Ange in to buy another six or so players on top of making Jota and CCV permanent.

 If this all happens, in my view Celtic will have been the best side in the League and Rangers would have been the best side in Europe. Each set of fans will have their own one-eyed illogical view of bragging rights.   And I too would like to see Hearts win the Scottish Cup, they too have had a good season deserving of a trophy.
