funny seeing the pundits constantly wondering why he's not more pragmatic... they haven't done their research, he doesn't have another way to play. Knives will be out soon if he drops any points in the league.

They miss absolute sitters. 

It's been very disappointing. The squad at Ange's disposal should be good enough to have bagged a result or two. There has been plenty of investment.

The miss heaps of chances in league games too. A lot of the games I've watched could of be in double figures if not for the wasteful finishing.

Rubbish. The squad Ange has assembled isnt good enough to compete at the highest levels of European football. Players like Furuhashi. Maeda, Giakoumakis etc would struggle to score goals in the Championship. However they are good players for Celtic and probably the cream of the SPL. Which isn’t saying much. The only stand out player for me is Jota, and Mcgregor could probably get a gig with a mid to low tier EPL club. Ange is doing a good job with the squad he has, but Celtic are where they belong on the ECL table. RB Leipzig are an excellent team. any team outside the big four leagues is going to struggle big time against a top Bundesliga team.

Maccabi against Juventus 
Copenhagen against City
Shaktar against Madrid

If they can get results in Europe against teams like that, then it's not impossible for celtic is it....

They did set a CL record today though, 7 consecutive defeats at home in the CL.

Yes i know, Rangers doing not much better in a harder group.

Least the celts have a couple of goals AND a point in Europe this year :P But holy shit Napoli are on fire...... Group A IS a tougher group no doubt whatsoever.

Another harsh lesson to learn from the European game, take your chances and cut off the mistakes or else you get punished and that's exactly what has happened for Celtic and for Ange this campaign.

Some say Ange should be more pragmatic but they had less possession than Leipzig today, there is not much you can do if they don't take their chances though.

Just hope they learn and use that as fuel for better results next season if they get the chance again, just also hope Ange is humble enough to learn from this and not make deflect it away which he sometimes did when he was Socceroos coach especially towards the end of the campaign.

TBH its not about whats more to learn in the circumstances, its jagging the chance or 2, especially when a major Club is going through rebuild or lack of form.

Rubbish yourself. Celtic are able to consistently dominate a rangers side that made the Europa League final beating the likes of Dortmund along the way. Nobody was expecting Celtic to finish first in the group but they have a squad that is good enough to have achieved better results than they have.   

Oh yeah I forgot, none of those games counted. Surprised they even recorded a result tbh.

Even though in the Hoops/Angie baby thread its all SPL related talking CL performances.
BOTH Clubs are lacking at this level as shown by the group stage standings.
Every Club rack up missed chances/close calls yaddayadda but in the end results is all that count as we know.
Hoops are better than the Gers league wise but the divide is for all to see in the CL.
Both are in strong groups, Hoops with the defending champs Gers against LFC who have been amongst the top for 5yrs.
Then both have strong next level 2/3 down proven CL performers.
Kudos qualifying but they need to recruit better looking ahead.

There is finishing last in your group and there is getting humiliated..... Ofcourse results count matey but sometimes there is pride in defeat....

Oh agree mate but walking off the pitch after losing 2 nil, having missed 3 or 4 chances and playing OKish for good spells of the game always felt better to me than getting absolutely pummeled.... Your right though, both finishing last in the groups (if it happens) is the same no matter what.

Na, Liverpool smashed Rangers 7-1, they are flat track bullies, they got away with playing with donkeys as midfielders, workhorses that just pressured & an awesome front 3, with the great TAA feeding them. The better teams has worked them out now & Liverpool now struggles to break down the best defences.

And most of them have played in 3 of the last 5 UCL finals. Some fuckin flat track bullies !
