Vicrory had 6 shots in the first half and 3 were arzani and at least 1 shot was set up by him with a lovely backheel
Defence is improving too, he set up a great opportunity with his press
On the other hand he did miss a big chance. Plenty of time to improve his finishing but he does need to....

+xThe balance when dribbling at speed the passing vision, closest thing to maradona aus football has seen. You forgot about his “ shooting “ ability.

Getting back to Azarni, he was sensational in a couple of games both for club and country, then sadly got injured, which put him back 5 years. Having said that, one cannot doubt his talent and vision on the field, and he is young enough to do something special into his more senior years. Well, we can only wish him well, and see how he develops hopefully without injury (again).

+x+x+xHe's one of the most creative attacking minded players we have in Australian football and still some people on here have an angle to criticise him? It seems like some Australian football fans hate creative players period. Enjoy your Olympic runners/rugby players then because thats what we usually historically develop in this country... Exactly, one day we will create a player with Irvine's workrate, Leckie's physical ability & Azani's creativity, until then we have accept these players for their flaws, especially the creative ones, because rarely created these type of players. We did his name was Harry Kewell. Even Emerton in his Feyenoord yrs was close to this. Kewell was the closest we had, but never reached his potential, maybe injuries (hence physical) & why he was the best Aussie player but Cahill the best Socceroo. Emerton was very good, but once in the Premier league, never played to his potential.

+x+x+xJust cause he doesn't play in Europe doesn't mean he can't be an important part of the national team. Look at someone like Craig Goodwin. Never made it into the big leagues in Europe. In the A League for the vast majority of his career. Yet he's been amazing for the national team against almost every team we face. Looking a threat to assist or score almost every time he takes the pitch. Leckie and Kruse have been great servants for the national team in their own ways. They made it both to the Bundesliga and were able to establish themselves in a top league. Yet for the Socceroo's while giving us great avenues in many ways, were really really really really not clinical at all lol. I would take Craig Goodwin of the last couple years and start him ahead of prime Kruse and Leckie anyday for the national team. Just because a player has a great career and plays at a higher level. Doesn't mean that their skills will naturally fall into place for the national team. Tom Rogic another example. Fantastic for Celtic in a good league and playing champions league football. For the Socceroos he was mostly invisible in most games he played, literally. A League players can do a great job for our team and especially if they are playing well and in great form, should be given consideration to start over players who are playing at a higher level but form is not so great. I think you should look up the meaning of the word "literally". The definition of literally was reworked all the way back in 2013 my man. It can mean literally in the first sense. However a second but informal use of it was changed/added and was officially recognized over a decade ago. To use the word for emphasis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta41xU-tkFA Ha! Just because millennials use words incorrectly does not mean the meaning has changed. It just means they are using words incorrectly.

Looking forward to it! Most players have weaknesses though, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The only weakness with Ronaldo is his current age. The man is a LEGEND!!!!! In 10 years time they will remember both Ronaldo & Messi better. hehe he not capish. You know I always say the wife is always right, happy wife happy life, Ronaldo is King. hey isn't your wife from the UK , she has to be a King Gerrard fan :) lol.....you influenced her far too much :) IF only Arzani could have a smidgen what SG had :) Na, she is a Liverpool fan tough( I know I still married her, silly me), but she is more a Kevie Keegan & King Kenny fan, she left England 35 years ago, she loves Becks more than Stevie. Australia do not create players of the Calibre of Stevie G. ahhhhh I luv your wife, your very Lucky she puts up with you :) I was going to quote KK and she has me even more attracted mentioning KevieK what Legends - SG is the son of their awesum era you could say - haha you got your LFC mates and better half, your up a creek without the paddle. Talking calibre of SG not created here, I actually wonder whilst growing up playing here I was playing with some players with the kind of energy and tactical natural instinct like him - so so many of these potential very good players opt out carrying on to higher leagues once Snr preferring to stay in Div/Prem 1 league football. They kept sweeping the floor in Club land, winning comps, winning Champs of Champs. We lose so so many due to the aussie easy going lifestyle to this day.

+x+x+x+x+xhe's been good for mv this year - he appears more focused at the moment and more of a team player he needs to score more, the big hole in his game He won't learn to finish now, and that is a real problem for him. He is seems to lose all composure in front of goal. if he could score he would bring something very different wouldn't he well wouldn't it be great But there is only so many DeBruynes types even in the big leagues that is few and far between. Arzani at least can take opponents on and create something as we all have seen that we lack in the NT so I can forgive his lack of finishing........ Arzani has set enough players up with potential assists, who've promptly missed. you obviously didn't understand my simple comment.

Yeah he could've had 4/5 assists Tuesday night alone, if his teammates had timed their runs etc. He could easily have had double digit assists this season. His ability to beat a defender one on one, play the perfect through ball, dribbling ability, cut backs, crosses etc etc make him a must pick against Lebanon. I said it before the Asian Cup, he needed to be picked as he's a game changer who can make things happen like no-one else in Australian football at the moment. I'm trying not to go over the top, but he's just next level this season & probably better than he was pre 2018 WC.

I believe Popovic has improved his tank a little and with that he has found more consistency. Although I believe stamina will never be a Arzani strength his ability to beat a man and vision to pick a pass is on another level.
