i think fifa 09 has the reality too, i've played 4 games with sydney fc, scored a total of 14 goals in those games and john aloisi hasn't scored one even though he has played every single minute :lol:

The goal my team scored on FIFA manager tops it. A shot is parried by the keeper who is standing off his line, my left-mid is there to head it in from about a metre out, the defender clears it onto the crossbar, hits him on the hand (no handballs in the game) only for my left mid to finally put it in with a diving header.

Just played my 2nd PES game.
The players are too sluggish, dont react quickly enough, and there movements arent fluid enough, too blocky.
I will stick to FIFA thanks. Though im not trying to get into a war with anyone about it

FM08 was the first year I bought it. previous 2 i just burnt off of Afroman. Figured I owed them at least one year of payment:p

Finally had some sort of luck vs Barca. 5 minutes in, Albiol basically hands Eto 2 goals on a silver platter, mis-controlling it right to him after 5 minutes, then rushing out to try and tackle iniesta on the centre circle, not stopping the inevitable through ball to Eto who smacks it in from outside the area. Then we had my right back sent off midway through the 2nd half. At which point we finally start to play properly, Fernandes with a first time rocket in the 86th minute, followed by an eto own goal from a corner. Could have won it too.

Mid-Season Report
Out of the Spanish Cup in the 5th round, a 3-5 agg loss to Sevilla.

Qualified with easy in Champions League, 4 Wins, 2 Draws, vs Bayern, Fenerbache and CSKA, and defeated Porto 4-1 on agg in the 1st KO phase.

In the League, Real and Barca have both lost 4 games (3 more than the entire first season), Real 60, Barca 58, Valencia 57, we have less losses, but about 3 more draws. 9 clear of Sevilla in 4th, after we snatched an epic 4-3 win with a 88th minute Fernandes winner. Only have to play Real one more time, with Barca and Sevilla over for the season, all 3 play each other at least 1 more time.

Not much news on the Transfer front, Gai Assulin, Henri Saviet, Jean Ahmetovic and Breno (all potentially leading Spanish First Division players) moving in for a total of 21 million.

Will probably need another striker once the off season comes, Morientes just getting too old.

End of Season 2 Report: Valencia 08/09

Not much to say about this season. Really improved in the league, just lost too many games to be really in the hunt, not even a 2-1 win against Real Madrid in the closing stages helped too much, and we finished needing both Real and Barca to drop points, but ended up losing the last few games anyway.

Had a bad draw in the Spanish Cup and went out early. Nigera wanted me to become manager, and I re-signed with 2 months left on my own contract. Champions league was a high spot, unbeaten through the entire run, but we followed a 4-4 draw at home with a 3-3 draw away, despite 35 minutes or so battering the Manchester United goal at 3-3 trying to equalise on away goals (or even win it outright), losing on Away goals.

Transfer wise, brought in mostly youth, but did secure Miguel Veloso. Will require a new striker, either one brought up from the youth ranks of those I have purchased, or a new player, I have been chasing Tevez whose contract at United is running down, but no such luck thus far.

Spanish First Division - 3rd - 81 Points, Real 1st 89, Barcelona 2nd 88. 4th Sevilla 68.
Spanish Cup - 5th Round, Lost 3-5 Agg to Sevilla
Champions League Group Stage - Qualified 1st (14 Points, 4 wins, 2 Draw).

So here's the deal. I've been interested in editing the FM08 database for a bit now, but couldn't think of anything to edit in that I haven't already downloaded a separate database for. Anyway, the point is, I came up with the brilliant Idea of creating a 442 FC in the database. Everyone signs up as a player, chooses their attributes and such. Everyone will start off around 18/19 so they get full careers.

We'll start in the Championship, or Maybe League 1, and then work our way up to (hopefully) EPL and ECL Glory. If there's enough interest, I'm seriously tempted to try this, so let me know if you're up for it.

I did that in FIFA just made 11 players and controlled them in Manager Mode.
Could we do this with FM09 when i get it :P

You don't need the game. You sign up, i add you into the database in my game alongside everyone else, I then manage the team.

Well, you need to figure out what control we have, and how much, of our starting attributes. I'd suggest check on the SI website, check out some of the sign ups there and have a look at what you want.

Yeah, I'm a member on there, If enough interest is shown, I'll start up a seperate thread with a proper sign-up form for people to use. So for now, people just need to show that they're interested.
