More cheese with that whine Antic? Come and coach the Roos instead... :) What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Serbia Fuming Over Penalty Shout? SERBIA coach Radomir Antic claimed his team were denied a penalty that could have sent them into the World Cup second round.Have your say.

What the fuck is the fourth official going to do? Taking Krasic off for me was the moment Serbia were heading out, Aussies dominated the next 15 mins and game was over.

The Ghanian penalty against Serbia hit the hand in a similar manner... A handball is "hand to ball", not "ball to hand". That's how its judge to be an offence or not. That was obviously unintentional... I don't think Tim was even looking the right way when it hit him. Certainly Kewells was a lot worse and more toward hand to ball. Sure, it could have been given, they often are and I accept that, but going by the rules of the game it wasn't a handball. They shouldn't be complaining that the ref actually made a correct call.

Swings and roundabouts. In our post-mortem, I feel it prudent our technical director look at the way Australia approaches match officials during the match. Whether the vuvuzuealas made it hard to hear or not, the takeaway image of Socceroos screaming at refs and imploring them to look at the replay does not bode well. Why are there questions of Australia getting a poor run with refs at major tournaments? Where there is smoke there is fire.

Yes, the ball hit Cahill in the hand. But firstly he was unsighted (facing the other way) and secondly it rebounded straight to a Serb player, so there was no advantage to Aus. Play on.

The Serbs have a valid complaint to be honest..hardly Tim's fault but we had the same bitter taste in our mouths last world cup and certainly have borne the brunt of some harsh decisions this time...It really makes my wonder if the ref was not actually instructed to avoid any further harsh penalties against Australia..who knows? I also agree with Mr in that our players still haven't learned to stop back chatting the ref...Emerton went really close last night. That is the way this group has gone.I feel for Serbia but if it wasn't for two horrible reds against us then we would rightfully be in the next group stage. We were better than both Serbia and Ghana. The reffing was quite good last night but in general has been a blight on this tournament.

In terms of refereeing, more went their way than it should have.

More of a handball than Kewell's one imo. No use complaining though, both teams are out and FIFA listening? I'm not holding my breath.

A message for Antic and his team of overated superstars!! Didn't you claim you were the dark horse for the WC? Didn't you claim that you would destroy all opposition? Didn't you talk down the Socceroos at every opportunity? Wasn't it you who claimed that your team was increadibly sophisticated and technical? Wasn't it you who claimed that you would top the group? What went wrong Antic? The fallacy of prediction falls on you dude. And to tell you the truth I cannot stop laughing at your ugly mooche and your totally over-rated team, who should have been picking the ball out of its own net at least 4 times if the roos had taken all there chances. Go back to Serbia and disapear!!

IIRC Isn't the official ruling 'hand to ball' constitutes a penalty not 'ball to hand'.

"In the end I think that we didn't have fair treatment".. Are they serious??.. how many soft free kicks were awarded to them?.. i honestly lost count.. On another note, did any1 see lahm's clearance off the line against Ghana?? identical to Harry's!..

The foul count was a 24 - 10 in your favour Antic. I'd be quiet right now.

Then again maybe he didnt miss it.

Yes the ball hit the back of Cahill's arm, yes it is sometimes given as a penalty - but should by the rules of the game? No. Kewell's handball was always a penalty, a red card? No. Penalty? Yes.

Mada 22, if your referring to the Krasic dive then you should look at your own team. Neill gotta a little tap on the back of the head and then went down holding his face. Cant critisize us for diving.

It was clearly not handball. One of the factors that the referee is required to take into account is the distance from the strike of the ball to the hand/arm. In this case in was fractions of a second and therefore was ball to hand.

No. Penalty? Yes. You really should read the Laws of the Game. If Kewell's was handball and it stopped a certain goal then the referee has no option but to issue a red card. A yellow card is not an option for him. Quote:Sending-off offences A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences: • serious foul play • violent conduct • spitting at an opponent or any other person • denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area) • denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick • using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures • receiving a second caution in the same match
