TSEKA WANTS 'O - LYM - PIC' ROARING THROUGH BELMORE ONCE AGAIN The Olympic Ultras sat exclusively on Tuesday with new Sydney Olympic FC head coach Peter Tsekenis and assistant Peter Papoythis to discuss their appointment and Olympic's prospects moving forward towards the 2011 season.
After making themselves right at home at Papoythis' buzzing Teascapes Cafe in Randwick, the Ultras quickly noticed one particular piece of club history dominating the poster and frame-covered walls.
"Now that's a football team," Papoythis shouted out from behind the counter, "Sydney Olympic, St. George Stadium, people everywhere, just looking at it makes me shake."continue reading @: http://olympicultras.com.au/news/77Edited by Minimalistix: 22/9/2010 03:44:02 PM

Id like to wish Tseka all the best for coming seasons. It is about time that Olympic had someone of his ilk as coach. There are a few people, ultras included, that have said some derogatory things about Tsekenis in the past, because he Captain/Coached Bankstown in previous and was supporting the team he coached. I hope you all get behind him for the good of the club. Tsekenis debut for the club at age 17, at age 23 or 24 captained the club until a wanker made sure he left. The club could not have made a better appointment and the people have been waiting for an appointment like this for many years. I just hope the board gives him some time to gel HIS team together and not jump to hasty conClusions after one or two possible bad results. All the way with Tseka AY. =d> =d> =d> =d> =d> =d>

Edited by spathi: 22/9/2010 04:03:04 PM I have spoken to about 30 Ultras and General Olympic supporters, and only two so far have been against his appintment. Initially I was against it, but after the interview he gave to us Ultras, as well as some of the comments he made when he first signed have convinced me otherwise. The comments he made include: "After my discussion with the President of the Club, Mr George Giannaros I realized that the Club is moving in the right direction and it is time that we also do all we can to support the Board of Sydney Olympic and take this Club back where it belongs, at the top tier of Australian football.""Personally, I see this as an opportunity as I can see all the positive steps the Club has made this past season and I want to give something back to the Club that I have supported and loved since I was a kid. Its time for all of us to do what we can to support our Club and bring back some credibility to the blue and white jersey.""I will be assisted again this season by Mr. Peter Papoutsis and we are still discussing with people to finalize our coaching team for next season. Our main focus is to get the players understand what jersey they are wearing and the history of Sydney Olympic, so all together we can bring back the pride of the Club."--- be sure to join the Ultras forum Spathi.

Back where they belong? So at the foot of the NSWPL, like they are now? Sounds attainable. :D

The flea's cafe in randwick is awesome loads of memorabilia and quality food and coffee.
But in regards to the tsekenis appointment going to bring olympic back to the forefront of football in the country.
Olympic next season will be beating a-league sides, if they have the guts to play us in friendlies.

how can you possibly call yourself the Man Utd of Australian Football when you haven't even won the most titles and haven't dominated the game for the last 15 years.
