GOSFORD is now on the map in China, thanks to the AFC Champions League match between the Central Coast Mariners and Guangzhou Evergrande.

The Wednesday night game had a live TV audience of 50 million in China - more than double Australia's population. Guangzhou, who won 2-1, are the Chinese equivalent of Manchester United.

This reminds me of Scott McIntyre on twitter. For some reason he's become all bitter and laughed of suggestions that CCM did well considering the financial differences.

It would be interesting to know what the deal was for their front of shirt sponsor (a Chinese water company) going out to such an audience...

So, everyone I speak to seems to think Flores is a done deal for us. If this is true, what formation do you guys think Arnie will play?

Considering Hutch and Monty are both automatic starters, it'll have to be a formation with 2 DMs. The only logical explanation considering our current crop of players is a 4-3-3 IMO:

Now obviously Duke isn't a winger but, similar to Taggart at the Jets, he's too good to not start. Either that, or Fitzgerald starts and Duke is subbed on for him or Simon early on in the 60th minute or something :-k

4-2-2-2 with Simon + Duke upfront and Flores + McGlinchey CAMs could work, but would be very narrow...
