I was mocking the bitters who said 3 years tops for the A-League 11 years ago.

But there is no doubting the passion surrounding our sport after the past week.

Don't think the A-League is going anywhere.
As for us, I am quietly confident. I wonder how much of an effect no RBB will have on the WSW? Also, I hear they're missing a fair chunk of their forward line.

Yes, surprised he's come back to these shores given the quality of visa player and expectations have risen so much. Maybe a guest stint in the NPL somewhere??

BIGHUX wrote:The one thing going for him is he wouldnt count as a Visa player Well at 31 and a goal every 4 games or so he's probably worth someone looking at, even AU as an injury replacement for Babalj and maybe an extension to their ACL squad if they qualify? Depends on his level of fitness of course - if he hasn't had a preseason/partial season he's unlikely to be fit before February which is a tad late. Edited by Waz: 3/12/2015 09:09:15 AM

Isn't Reinaldo good mates with Ricky? I wouldn't be surprised if he returned to Brisbane on min wages. He certainly provides something unique as a big target man .Plus he was quick.

There's always been the thought in some people's mind that Maclaren would be even more effective working off a fast/big target man (as he did well with Keogh) so maybe he could fit in at Roar, there is one position available. Also January looks like we'll lose both Maclaren and Borrello to the Olyroos so cover up front is needed.

McClaren is a great goal poacher,so having the ball deflected, passed, headed or whatever by the big man would be an obvious benefit. Also against the parked bus having two up front makes good sense.

Dont need another 'warm body' in there. Only players coming in will be starter quality or huge prospects (likely at fullback).

Hervas was instramental in getting Sabadel relegated to the 3rd division. He hasn't played much football since. He was unable to secure anything in the Spanish lower tier so australia came to his rescue. Left sided defensive midfielder with no goals in him. Good left foot though. Two cameo appearances totalling 30 mins and now injured.

Seen plenty of him when he actually got to play in segunda. Will be surprised if he can get to play a 90 minute game.

See Phoenix are complaining about the temperature already - it won't be much different to playing a game in Brisbane in January tbh but I don't recall anyone complaining about that?

Marco is a cooked unit, probably just looked at the list of players and guessed. I would try to keep either Borello or Clut. Don't rate Donachie

Don't rate Donachie I think Marco is getting well connected with the club who are probably having to build some bridges after the last administration. Borrello seems an odd one though, he's gone from rooster to feather duster within 4 weeks so something's happening behind the scenes Edited by Waz: 14/12/2015 03:34:59 PM
