for some reason my biggest hate in regards to texting is women, or anyone, using the word "yer". I harrassed my mrs in the early days of us texting and said I'd never reply to a text featuring "yer", and would only accept "yeah", "yes" or "si"

Substituting a "d" for "th" also does my head in.

Not always. A good relationship for me is one where you can fight off that temptation to break up with them to sort out whats' bugging you about them. Talk to them, tell them "hey, I don't like that you're doing ..... .... ...., I need a bit more ... ... ..." If you still have that thought even after trying to fix it, then sure, dump the bugger.

Think of a relationship as building something from the bottom up, there is always more to be done and more to be fixed. If you look at it as a complete thing, then all you're ever doing to do is look for damage and not be satisfied, as you feel there's no progress to be made. Hang in there, and look for a way to fix the problem, not avoid it.
