I was with my last girlfriend for the better part of two years and and I consider that long term. It's a big chunk of my adult life.

Everyone defines "long term" differently. For some, it can be duration based (6 months etc) and for others, Milestone based (moving in together etc).
I have often used a combination of criteria to measure whether a relationship I am in has been long term. Generally they are:
1. I can remember her name
2. We have had a threesome with her friend/sister/mum
3. We have purchased a strap on
4. I have received a reach around whilst she has been wearing the strap and I am calling out her friend/sister/mum's name

I hope that gives you some criteria moving forward to determine whether you are in a long term relationship.
