Out of everything so far, I think this is the most worrying. Attempting to censor public information.

Re Gonski, if state govts reduce their own funding it will be a mess. It's hard to trust the fed govt will get it right.

The latest ASIO leak looks like it will disappear into the air as quickly as it arose today. I guess the Kangaroos winning the World Cup
has deadened the proles senses again. We deserve what we get under Abbott.

If this isn't worrying people there's something wrong with them.

The suppressing of information about boat arrivals is worrying me.

What they're talking about in this article does not. How about this for a completely plausible explanation:
1. He had a pretty comprehensive personal site tonyabbott.com.au and it was filled with content referring to him being in opposition.
2. Rather than spending money and resources on fixing it all up a decision was to have the Liberal party website maintain the info

Then from the article right at the end
Quote:
A spokeswoman for Mr Abbott said: ''The Liberal Party website is being updated to provide a single website to access media releases, speeches and policy documents released prior to the election of the Coalition government.''

Besides, the guy had no obligation to maintain transcripts of his speeches and interviews.

To top it all off you can still get them on the Wayback machine or the NLA's Pandora service. If they had tried to remove them from those sorts of sources, that's when you worry.

I'm sounding like LNP supporter but I just hate trashy articles regardless of who they are favouring. If this was a News corp article about Labor many would be calling out the bias.

Personally I think Tony Abbott is already the worst PM we've ever had. There's enough legitimate crap to call him out on.

If you are a journalist and rely on a ministers web page for an accurate archive of past speeches and interviews, you're doing your job wrong.

If they tried to get 3rd party sources purged, that's a problem.

Labor pretty much confirmed that they don't care if they sit again.

Don't you think that the court would have put an injunction if they intended to reverse?

Marriage as a federal issue isn't as compelling as the act argument: only heterosexual marriage is legislated for federally in the marriage act, and it does not preclude states from making legislation to cater for other types of marriage.

I'll leave the high court to adjudicate. In Australia marriage is between a man and a woman.

Brings me back to the point I already made. Only an incompetent or cruel court would allow for marriages to go ahead for 6 days before repealing them. That there is no injunction is a huge indication of where the court is likely to rule.
