Do an image search for Christine Milne and Scott Ludlam you will be hard pressed to find any Australian flags. It must be difficult to win votes when you are so self loathing of your nationality.

Politicians don't need to pose in front of a flag to show they love the country. Leaders will, as it is symbolic of their position. It's a bit gauche to pose in front of an armada of flags, however. Very cringy, very US politics (which, in spite of what our leaders think, is very much not a good thing. The US political system is abysmal.)
