Why would a club that has just started to tap into its huge potential market and looks likely to break even in its second season have a problem with longevity?

1. Currently there are no female WSW supporters :-k

Go to a WSW game!

Obviously you've never been to a WSW game. There are plenty of female WSW fans not just in the stands but among the RBB as well.

Maybe you should do what you said and actually go to a WSW game and see for yourself.

Reading on the WSW facebook page last week "Jerrad Tyson went to visit injured player Pierce at his home after he was released by Westmead Hospital. Pierce must lie still for 3 weeks before he starts moving around and starts his recuperation from a horrific car accident. Jerrad was supposed to spend 1 hour there but instead played FIFA 13 for 5 and a half hours. The family said they are now Wanderers fans for life." (Tyson is a backup GK) No idea how good he is as a player with Covic being so great but nice to read. And I would say over half of the 100 comments were from those apparently elusive females.

Is bringing in SMFC a feasible solution to combat RBB?

That, or RBB members might just have to pay to come to the games

Bridge savours his finest hour

Two-goal hero Mark Bridge said the A-League premiership he has won with Western Sydney Wanderers is the greatest achievement in his football career.

Bridge, 27 won the championship with Newcastle Jets in 2008 and the premiership and championship double with Sydney FC in 2010.

But this latest trophy is extra special to the striker who is a westie through and through.

”The other honours were great and I will always cherish them but this is special, 100 per cent,” Bridge said after the match.

”It means much more to me. Everyone wants to play for the team where he comes from.

”I was lucky enough to be in that situation .

”We have won the premiership after only one season and after putting together a team in such a short time.

”And to have the fans that we have is brilliant … and I am sure we will get even better.”

Bridge is a man for the big occasion.

He holds the distinction of having scored in two winning grand finals for different clubs and he is nicely poised to become the first player to win three championships with different clubs.

He also scored the Wanderers' first ever goal in the round four fixture against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp, a match they won 1-0.

But he admitted that it will take some time for him to fully appreciate the enormity and meaning of the Wanderers' amazing achievement.

”It hasn't fully sunk in yet, maybe tomorrow or maybe after the grand final,” Bridge said.

”At the moment it is hard to comprehend what we have achieved in such a short period of time.

”This has been my best season without a doubt.

”Eleven goals and four assists speak for themselves … I've never achieved that before.

”I feel fit and have been injury free which enabled me to be consistent.”

Bridge said he knew from the very first match against Central Coast Mariners that the Wanderers would be highly competitive.

”They have been one of the pivotal sides in the last few seasons and we held our own against them in a 0-0 draw,” he said.

”We even were unlucky not to get the win. I think that was the game that showed everyone and ourselves that we were not going to be also-rans.

”I knew we were going to have a good season because we had a good squad and a top coach and backroom staff.

”We all knew we were going to do well and more than others expected.”

Bridge said the only down-side of an uplifting night in Newcastle was the fact that the team was not presented with the Premiers' Plate.

”I know where Football Federation Australia are coming from and I think our fans were happy anyway,” he said.

”But it would have been good to get it immediately after the final whistle.”

Banning is a feasible solution to combat retards.

^ Most of these thugs arent paying, or receiving cut price tickets to go to the A-League. They dont have anything better to do, so they sit in the RBB looking to start a fight
