Well done by Kyrgios but I'd expect Raonic to clean him up. Nadal's power ground game is easier to counter on grass than Raonic's big serve and willingness to approach the net.

What does annoy me was how Kyrgios was seen as the toast of the country a day before, by defeating Nadal the night before. Without even thinking about or celebrating taming Nadal, hes out of the tournament. Almost in the same breath

Raonic was better equipped to cope with the shortturn around whilst Kgryios has only played a couple of grand slam matches to date. No shit. That's apparent because he won. You act like Kyrgios has never played games of tennis on consecutive days before in his life.

The US Open is on right now :-({|=
The day time sessions are on at an unreasonable waking time, but the night sessions (6pm session onwards from New York City) are great to watch in Australia, with the last match of the evening session finishing around 2pm (midnight their time)
Unfortunately most of us are at work when this is all happening :-k
And Jack Sock must have the worst name in world sport, in that he hasnt won jackshit 8-[

I feel as if Kygrios is every bit as cocky and arrogant as Tomic yet he isn't torn to shreds by the Aus media

lukerobinho wrote:I feel as if Kygrios is every bit as cocky and arrogant as Tomic yet he isn't torn to shreds by the Aus media I tend to agree. However, Kyrgios is exciting to watch and doesn't give up, unlike Tomic, which is why everyone has taken to him. I do agree though, if Tomic said the same stuff as Kyrgios, everyone would be up in arms.

Those guys are the masters of playing the mind games, and at the highest level tennis is a game of wills as well as ability

and, for the first time in a decade, there is a men's singles final to not feature nadal, djokovic, federer and murray
Cilic has always had the game to win a grand slam or go deep in one at least, hes derailed himself a couple of times, getting a ban for doping
and Nishikori is your typical a crazy extreme sportsman, there will be questions on his longevity with the way he plays, he has to do everything, at full functionality

Watching a replay of the 05 Quarter final between Hewitt and Nalbandian, what a match. =d> =d> =d>
Some terrible calls in this match though.
Despite not being well liked man has Hewitt been in some epics.
