and djokovic and federer are on court after a long rain delay
the thing is, federer might have the mental edge over everyone ranked outside the top 4, but hes mentally brittle in the mind games department when he has to face them head to head

Davis Cup tie this weekend. GB vs Aus. Should be really decent. Can't see us beating the Brits this time around. Murray's too consistent and they should win the doubles. We'd need a team featuring Kyrgios in good form to have a shot.
It should be fun though. Murray gets on really well with the Australian players. He has basically taken Kokkinakis under his wing, Kyrgios too (even though he won't be there). Also, blokes like Lleyton Hewitt live for the Davis Cup. They seem to rate it higher than Grand Slams. They seem to love the team part of it and representing their country. Plus, Brits versus Australians is usually good value.

And Bernard tomic has reached the top 20 for the first time
Mind you, 'some guy' like David Goffin is 4 places below Rafael Nadal in the rankings, even though hes achieved jack and Nadal's achieved pretty much everything in tennis. So there's that

New season of tennis in Australia starting today in Perth (the Hopman Cup) and Brisbane , tennis season in Australia is pretty short Theres 2 teams representing Australia in the Hopman Cup, its become more and more challenging to get the best players to play out there in Perth And this is Nick Kyrgios's outfit that he will be wearing to this year's Australian Open Edited by condemned666: 3/1/2016 04:38:15 PM

One of the weakest lineups Ive ever seen to date. The Hopman cup is an invitational and has no rankings or head to head bearing on the event, it's possibly time to just make it a tournament like the Brisbane international? Or Kooyong?

Perhaps its time to move the Hopman Cup to Sydney to get a better field.

The supposed appeal of the hopman cup for players is a guaranteed number of matches in preparation for the Aus open.

The issue is, there are a heap of tournaments which have sprung up that have undermined the tournament, it's not because there's tournaments in doha, but more tournaments such as the one in Auckland, the Brisbane international has grown (because of the presence of Federer) and just how unappealing it is to go to WA

What about this new format of Tennis called Fast4, which is supposedly a faster match with fewer sets. Is this similar to the BBL to suffice the needs of the short attention spanned spectator? http://www.foxsports.com.au/tennis/fast4-tennis-what-is-it-what-are-the-rules-and-how-is-it-played/story-e6frf4mu-1227705067747

Updated the title. Tsonga v Baghdatis is on right now, should be an epic.

Hewitt playing on centre court against a player with a low ranking, a match with no consequence to who wins the tournament
Doubtless it was scheduled on Centre Court because of Channel 7 fanboys
And... Hes got the whole southern cross thing on his shirt.
