How long was he out for? That's their u19's team right? Maybe he could be a darkhose for the u20 WC squad, but they'll probably save him for the next one... A shame we didn't qualify for the u17's as we could have got a good look at him.

He's only 16 so the first team wouldn't be looking at him yet and the Young Socceroos aren't going to take any plays under the age of 18 or 19 I believe.

Leckie scores from a low pass from 5 meters as FSV lead 3-0 at half time vs Aalen who are down to 10 men. Leckie appears to be enjoying his football.

He would've been if they had made the WC. He couldn't be considered earlier because the player list was submitted earlier by the outgoing Versleijen who according to people in the set-up now didn't exactly compile the list with much due care. The FFA sent Valkanis to Spain to check out Rafa and the world-famous Villarreal Academy last year. He was apparently quite impressed. Now they are trying to work out who will have him out of the Joeys or Young Socceroos.

The Young Socceroos will be holding a European camp post-Turkey WC that will largely be made up of only European based players and many who haven't been involved before.

Of course I'm not a paid professional so what would I know (isnt that right, Post-hoc? ;))

Atalanta are desperate to re-sign him so maybe offering the chance of first team football could be a sweetener? The big club in the story is only one of a number of clubs chasing him including an English giant.

Even though you can't tell us (i think), I am inclined to think it's Arsenal, I think I read on your website they were impressed with him during a trial. I hope an Australian gets to represent the mighty Arse soon!

Kruse in action now vs Bayern away. He will have his work cut out today. Langerak on the bench in the Revierderby against Schalke while Ruka still hurt and Amini probably doing something with the U23 Dortmund team.

Wow Ddorf up 1-0 through Bolly. Kruse with good touches so far and the goal came from a spot where Kruse normally stands. Bayern will take it to them now.

lol see Fortuna's set piece, hardly anyone in the box because they know Bayern will destroy on the counter. Kruse has been a bit quiet in this one but I guess that's to be expected.

Dortmund II got an important 3 points but Amini didn't come off the bench. How old is he, almost 20? Still has another 2 years to prove himself.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Dortmund may send him on loan next season. Koch, Ginczek and Sobiech are 3 on loan and I think Amini should push for a Bundesliga 2 loan deal. A touch better than the A-League and a decent place to improve. Still very very young.

ffs Dusseldorf just had to hold on for a few minutes and they would've earned a good point.

Davidson's becoming a concern.
