Mckay, Paartalu, Salley, Mcgowan, Mcbreen all starting for their respective sides in China. Ibini on the bench
McBreen has scored and Salley has scored an OG in the same game

SC03 wrote:Wilkinson is the new Ognenovski?
The other Aussies in Korea might as well come back to the A-League, if they want game time. The only Aussies in Korea that should leave is Bosnar (Suwon), Hamill (Gangwon) and Madaschi (Jeju). Bosnar has been losing form recently and Suwon has been linked with a Brazilian defender named, Reiner Ferreira, from the Portuguese side, Adamedica. Hamill was brought to Seongnam to become the next "Ognenovski", but was loaned out to a lower Korean club so that he can get more playing time, but that didn't work out so well and they say that he is injured right now. Jeju's star CB and future Korean prospect, Hong Jeong-Ho, is back from his injury and they recently signed a new CB, Hwang Do-Yeon. Madaschi has been injured for a while and it might be hard to get his starting spot back. Also Madaschi has a family now and I think it would be easier to raise a family back at his homeland than at Jeju (Which is a island off the coast of Korea). Burns (Incheon) will probably sign for A-League club this transfer window. Burns' time at Incheon was a mysterious one. He was injured for a while and after he recovered, the club said that he was not good enough for them. His former AEK Athens teammate, Leonardo, has been doing great at Jeonbuk. Cornthwaite (Chunnam) and Wilkinson (Jeonbuk) should not leave. Cornthwaite has been a fan favorite for Chunnam for a while now. The reason he has not did play the last game was because of his minor injury (From his twitter) and he has stated that he will be back for next week's game against Busan. Wilkinson has recently found his form after Jeonbuk's former manager, Choi Kang-Hee, came back to the team after he resigned from the Korean national team. Jeonbuk's last manager had no plan for Wilkinson in his team, but this one wants to use him. Edited by Byun_Fan_671: 14-7-2013 10:35:19 오후

They seem to say Rogic looks good but they want a bit more flair in the team going forward and you just have to think that is what Rogic should be doing and let someone else sit deep And that somebody should be... JACKSON IRVINE! \:d/ :cool: For those who watched the Young Socceroos at the U20 World Cup, he was one of our DMs, obviously his more natural/usual possie, and he did quite well there. Granted he struggled, like most of our DMs at ALL levels, when pressed and closely marked by the El Salvadorians second match, but he still showed genuine quality and potential through all three games. He already saw his Celtic debut in a cup game last season I think it was and the 20yo is a big boy already who's only going to get bigger, so he could well handle the rigours of any SPL task he may face, I believe. electroschokk wrote:playmaker11 wrote:Wilkshire just played a 90 mins in the season opener. This is the case for most of our elite, especially Socceroo, level defenders - Neill, Wilkshire, The Og, Thwaite, Cornthwaite... most of them. To be fair, may be the case for most defenders in the world, except the top few %, most of whom are at the best clubs in the world already? BTW Don't mean to come across as dismissing your observation electroschokk, on the contrary, it's an acute observation and it's a frequent quandry for our NT particularly. Bozanic subbed off on 79'. Fairly quiet game but decent in the first half, one nasty turn-over in the middle of the pitch which luckily didn't amount to anything. Overall though, a decent debut in Europe. Their next match is against a weaker team so hopefully he can make more of an impression.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Babalj got a hattrick but was still likely a 60th minute sub. Kruse came on for Son in 2nd half, Son Scored Zullo played a half, Oar played a little more Dylan McGowan played a full hame and got 'top player'which I think is MOTM Langerak played a half and got a clean sheet
Also the Swiss league is starting this week and Bozanic's team is playing tonight 9:45 start Dylan McGowan could be a bolter for the WC squad Due to troubles, well, 'threatened existence' of his club via administration and huge debt, the squad has been trimmed thin and young. Dylan, despite his age, will actually become one of the more experienced boys of the group and a strong chance to be regular CB alongside new/lucky arrival and captain, Danny Wilson. Hopefully, it's not only a break-out year for he, but for Heart too. Already a promising group of young players, including young Jason Holt who Heart have already rebuffed two bids for, DESPITE still being in administration. They have 3 bids for the club which the administrators are now perusing. Hopefully the Fan Group bid wins through then the club can make moves towards it's future and out of this scary administrative limbo of uncertainty at death's door. BTW Explains, give context as to why Dylan's older bro, Ryan, ran to the likes of a C-League team, of ALL leagues. Good to see he's a regular there now too. Hopefully both Dylan and Ryan are not only regulars, but regular stars for their respective teams this season. Hopefully they REALLY catch Holger's attention this season! Chris Herd started at CB again with a clean sheet in his half. Halloran came on in the 65th minute vs Monaco.

Ryan was constantly receiving passes, distribution overall was very good. I'm no goalkeeping expert but I'd say he could've had better positioning for Barnsley's goal, admittedly it slotted in the top left corner but he didn't get a finger to it. Shot-stopping in general still seems like a weak point so I'm not sure about him being first choice. I guess his manager will have to decide whether he wants the experience of Kujovic or the tidy feet of Ryan. Kujovic was last season the second choice after bergocevic,Club bruges spent 1 week training camp in Manchester, followed by a friendly against Barnley. Garrido (spanish coach of Bruges),is a fan, of a fast paced possession game, starting with the goalkeeper. Club plays next week a game against Wolfsburg, so time will tell, but for now he is already seen as the best transfer, together with Timmy Simmons, according to supporters!

Champions league qualifier tomorrow;
Celtic squad in Belfast: Forster, Izaguirre, Ambrose, Wilson, Lustig, Brown, Commons, Rogic, Kayal, Samaras, Stokes, Zaluska, Balde, Forrest, Watt, Irvine, Henderson, Atajic.
Neil Lennon had plenty of positive things to say about both Rogic and Irvine after the last friendly game.

Langerak got a full game conceding one. It was a one on one so you would expect the striker to score but it was at a bit of an angle so he had a chance but it wasn't too bad. Bozanic was also playing in the same game, he played in the first half when their goal was scored but I don't think he was involved (he plays LM for them?) in it. I could not point him out though. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLebfMcjEBo you can see the goals, there are no extra highlights though so you can't really see Langerak making any saves or Luzeran doing anything that Bozanic would be involved in. Luongo helped Swindon draw 1-1 with Spurs, can't be bothered checking how long he played but on twitter I think Spurs tweeted about him taking a ong shot and it just going over. Also I know it hasn't really been discussed here but Austria's sporting directer has made a point to mention Holland is going nowhere. It is a good sign though that he is seen as such a vital player. (as usual German translation so might sound a little strange). Source: http://sport10.at/home/fussball/bundesliga/1419654/Die-Brennpunkte-der-neuen-AustriaQuote:The transfer calls from Hosiner are known around Markus Suttner it is currently quiet, a change from James Holland pushed Rosner puts a stop to, "Holland is safe with us." Now lets hope Austria can make the champions league group stages and doesn't get drawn vs Celtic (if they beat Cliftonvale of course).

In the first half Langerak made a decent save off a close range bicycle kick from a FC Luzern player that he managed to push onto the post. He also did a great sliding tackle for a 50/50 ball after a poor back pass. Didn't watch the second half so don't know anything else unfortunately. Also agree that he could have done better for the goal but it was nothing catastrophic like some of his other games. PS. Thought Bozanic played well. Had some stray passes but overall was pretty solid. I keep forgetting he's actually a decent player despite not managing to establish a first team spot at CCM last season.

Bozanic was among Luzern's better players. They conceded 3 but posed a decent attacking threat (scoring 1), whereas in the 2nd half both teams were changed up and the game basically died. Langerak save at 1:35.

I have just been thinking if Celtic and Austria Wien draw each other in the champions league which would be better for the national team? (not which team you like more Celtic fans).
Going on the current situation Rogic would be a bit part player (Commons easily above him in pecking order) and Irvine won't really get a chance (he didn't get on and Ledley wasn't available).
on the other hand Holland would probably play every minute Austria are in it so should get more out of the champions league but do we need Holland that much as he is in a position we already have decent cover for while Rogic could become first choice quite easily. at the moment I am leaning towards I would go for Austria just because I would actually like to see an Aussie on the field instead of the bench for 90% of the game
either way I hope at least one of their teams get in and both at least making the Europa league group stages.

Spot on. If he gets a few chances to start/impress in European competition I can see a number of decent clubs chasing him. Can't stand some of those Celtic fans. "he's too slow" "he's shite"...Probably because he prefers the ball played to his feet rather than lumped over his head :roll: Edited by JayEss: 18/7/2013 01:52:27 PM
