On the other hand it may be taken as good news that possibly the reason he hasn't featured yet is due to injury.

My completely unqualified eye would think it looks like ostietis pubis. While it's common in Australia its no where near as prevalent in Europe, so they may not know what is going on.

Halloran scored in a club friendly this week (they won 8-1). Looking at the list I think it is about half first team players half Dusseldorf II players. He came on at half time with the score at 3-1 so it was 5-0 wile he was on the field with him scoring in the 49th minute. Nothing special but good to play well in front of the first team manager (I assume he took this game)

I was hoping to find this earlier but here is a portuguese site which did a preview of the Porto-Austria game. Well at least the mentions of Holland.

A few others also mentioned him in which he was one of about 4-5 mentioned. Also I think the three in the middle is not too far of what we have for the national team.

A side note it might be interesting to keep an eye on Koln in the 2 Bundesliga. They are currently 3rd (promotion play-off spot) and they are interesting because their manager was Holland's last year. Now I know it is hard to tell how a manager really thinks of a player when they are managing them but he did suggest he will move to a bigger league and if he is a manager in a bigger league he could come in for him.

While the first one is the one actually relating to the player I find the second one more interesting. More than less it is the two words 'transfer coup' being related to Bozanic interests me. I always like the A-league being linked with value as a place to buy players. I know that Victory rejected Milligan bids recently but in general our players don't have massive price tags and when a club sees us as good value they come back. I think you could say both Amini to Dortmund and Halloran to Dusseldorf are linked with the clubs previous experience getting A-league players. Growing the leagues reputation will help with not only getting moves but having more options so they can move to the club with the best fit.

I worry about that a bit though. A team that pays next to nothing for Aussie player X doesn't feel the need to start him when compared to expensive European player Y. Clubs want to get some money back from their investment. If a club pays top dollar for someone then that someone is guaranteed a start. Look at Torres to Chelsea, even when he was really struggling for form they persisted, players with great potential in better form didn't get a look in.

I'm all for European clubs buying Aussie players, but they need to go for what they're worth not for peanuts.

in china and the middle east and even in japan so many players stay in the local leagues because they are overpaid and it would take a fortune to buy them. This hinders their development as footballing nations

The coin here in Jaan isn't really that much. It's about the same as A-league.
