On the other hand it may be taken as good news that possibly the reason he hasn't featured yet is due to injury.

My completely unqualified eye would think it looks like ostietis pubis. While it's common in Australia its no where near as prevalent in Europe, so they may not know what is going on.

Halloran scored in a club friendly this week (they won 8-1). Looking at the list I think it is about half first team players half Dusseldorf II players. He came on at half time with the score at 3-1 so it was 5-0 wile he was on the field with him scoring in the 49th minute. Nothing special but good to play well in front of the first team manager (I assume he took this game) http://www.express.de/fortuna-duesseldorf/gerrit-hattrick--8-1--fortuna-ballert-sich-in-bottrop-warm,3292,24378126.htmlI was hoping to find this earlier but here is a portuguese site which did a preview of the Porto-Austria game. Well at least the mentions of Holland. http://www.portugoal.net/index.php/more-fc-porto-news/42206-austria-vienna-v-fc-porto-previewQuote:Markus Suttner, the best left back in the Austrian Bundesliga, produces a lot in attack with his good crosses. The Aussie, James Holland, is very important tactically, as he has to help the centre-backs in defensive tasks. . . . Formation and playing style - what system do they usually play? Would you describe Austria Vienna generically as an attacking or a defensive team? FC: I would not to describe Austria Vienna in those terms, as in the local league they have to attack and hold possession but Nenad Bjelica did like to counterattack when he was at his previous club (Wolfsberger AC). The system is 4-3-3 with two open wings and one striker in attack and a holding defensive midfielder (Holland) accompanied by two other players in the middle: Mader is defensive and good in set pieces and Stankovic is a restless direct player with goal scoring instincts. The alternative, Alexander Grünwald, tore his cruciate ligament last Sunday and he will be out for six months. Grünwald is the most creative player in the team even though he has only been a substitute in recent matches. The 4-3-3 formation is a legacy of Stöger; Bjelica used to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 at Wolfsburg and has adopted these formations in certain situations during the current season. A few others also mentioned him in which he was one of about 4-5 mentioned. Also I think the three in the middle is not too far of what we have for the national team. A side note it might be interesting to keep an eye on Koln in the 2 Bundesliga. They are currently 3rd (promotion play-off spot) and they are interesting because their manager was Holland's last year. Now I know it is hard to tell how a manager really thinks of a player when they are managing them but he did suggest he will move to a bigger league and if he is a manager in a bigger league he could come in for him. In a preview of Luzern's game on the weekend vs Young Boys Bozanic gets two mentions http://sport.ch.sportalsports.com/sportch/generated/article/fussball/2013/09/20/31253900000.htmlQuote:2 The top scorer: The Lucerne proved in the transfer market a knack. With Australian Oliver "Crocodile" Bozanic an incredibly prolific offensive player was brought. The 24-year-old has taken in the Swiss Inner immediately and stands with 5 goals in the second place in the Super League top scorer. If the Australians injury free and in shape, the FCL can dream.
3 The Sport: You can love him or hate him, but Alex Frei is a key figure of Swiss football. The Nations Top scorer brought a lot of euphoria, pleasure in football and the winner mentality of Lake Lucerne. In the stands, he shows how much commitment he approaches with his new job. He also threaded on the Bozanic a transfer coup and who knows what the young offensive talent Mahmoud Kahraba everything will still show? While the first one is the one actually relating to the player I find the second one more interesting. More than less it is the two words 'transfer coup' being related to Bozanic interests me. I always like the A-league being linked with value as a place to buy players. I know that Victory rejected Milligan bids recently but in general our players don't have massive price tags and when a club sees us as good value they come back. I think you could say both Amini to Dortmund and Halloran to Dusseldorf are linked with the clubs previous experience getting A-league players. Growing the leagues reputation will help with not only getting moves but having more options so they can move to the club with the best fit.

I worry about that a bit though. A team that pays next to nothing for Aussie player X doesn't feel the need to start him when compared to expensive European player Y. Clubs want to get some money back from their investment. If a club pays top dollar for someone then that someone is guaranteed a start. Look at Torres to Chelsea, even when he was really struggling for form they persisted, players with great potential in better form didn't get a look in.
I'm all for European clubs buying Aussie players, but they need to go for what they're worth not for peanuts.

This hinders their development as footballing nations

Macca scores for Millwall. 1-0, 38'
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Looked like a 20m+ carry for the build-up. Good pass, fortunate goal for Bender.
