Think Ryan should be number 1. Can't think of an argument against the guy. Game time and performances sway things his way easily over other GKs.

His major issue is that he doesn't hold onto as many shots as he should and he's short for a GK. I can confirm that a head coach of an unnamed pro-club overseas was shown Mat's video by the club GK coach. 2 minutes into the video he said "he needs to learn to catch" and switched it off.
The GK coach rates Mat but sees some things he needs to work on.

Nevermind, Lazio came out with documents saying he is 17.

But whoever came up with the 42 thing was a very successful troll to get the club to release a statement

When Holloway left Palace, I suggested that Popovic would take his place and that went all the way to the Palace chairman making a statement saying that Tony wasn't in contention
I searched for ages to find a comment suggesting Poppa, before mine, but I eventually resigned to the fact that I started the rumour ;)

I'm familiar enough with how well connected everyone in Australian football is. News travels and changes at a million miles per hour. Most importantly, the public finds out very little in regards to rumours ect.

SST have done a stellar job of making football fans very aware of potential scenarios.

etc

Actually, come to think of it, you have a very similar style to Mack.

PS: How could I forget this

3 - Decry others for having the audacity to agree with one another on said topic.
4 - Refer to the apparent communal 'group-think' effect on said topic as accounting for the existence of opinions different from his own.

I stick by all those comments in the context that they were made, just for the record

A lot of the time it's not a degrading thing, I'm just making a simple point, so I keep it simple :)
However, there are times when I get shitty with having to make the same point over and over again, so I snap lol

Ps. Nothing like Mack! That's highly offensive  Mack, sidesteps points against his argument, I address them!

Can't believe more hasn't been made out of that pass at 38secs - friggin amazing. Outside of the foot with a wicked curve around the defender and right at the feet of the striker. That'd be assist of the year in the A-League.

Cap Him!!

Well he's said he wants to come back and play in the HAL next season. Which club wants him? One of the Melbourne clubs i'd guess. Or possibly Adelaide

Massive news! I totally missed that.

I've never seen the guy play, but have heard that he has some talent. Wouldn't be against him coming to MV to line up alongside Berisha.

Alright I found the Talk on Giannou from Soccer Stopage Time. it is at about the 55th minute of this episode http://soccerstoppagetime.podbean.com/2014/04/02/soccer-stoppage-time-31-march-2014/

According to it he wants to come back. His current club Panionios is very poor and hasn't payed their players for about 8 months and that's all they really say. From what I can tell the guys on the show are Greek (the stations Tunein page actually has it's language down as greek) and seem to have decent knowledge on Giannou's career so far.

Wright scored for Preston, Kilkenny stayed on the bench. They'll be in the promotion play-offs.

Swindon can also make the play-offs but they'll have to win their final two matches and rely on Peterborough to choke.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Top 2 or 3 much better, the rest pretty similar maybe worse. As everyone knows Greece's finances are in the toilet at the moment so other than the big clubs there is very little money, most are just hoping to sell players for profits and get players in on free transfers. This is not to day it is terrible though as Greece has a decent pool of homegrown talent but most clubs are just unable to bring in players.

Anybody remember Andrew Barisic? Played with Gold Coast United for a little while, has floated around the State Leagues for most of his career?

Well anyway, he's in Hong Kong playing in the Hong Kong Premier League with South China AA, who also happen to be in the AFC Cup - the poor man's Champions League. He scored a very tidy 4th goal for them in a 4-0 win over Kelentan (Malysia?)

Nichols will be thinking "what might have been?" when Troisi is on the plane to Rio and Mitch is on the bench in Osaka ....
He was never going to Brazil.

someone mentioned that ryan is short for a top flight goal keeper. This is true in the epl. Most la liga keepers are around his size or shorter with only a few being significantly taller

I remember someone posting a list of short EPL keepers a while back. There was some quality in the list.

Worm is average - OK. 1.83
Speroni is terrible. - 1.86
Mcgregor - woeful 1.83

Lloris - 1.88 - V Good
Foster - 1.88 - Decent
Mannone is average - 1.88

Mignolet - 1.93 - V good
Szczesny - 1.96 - V good
Guzan - 1.93 - V good
Marshall - 1.91 - Average
Cech - 1.96 - Best in the world
Howard - 1.91 - V good
Steklenberg - 1.97 - Average - decent
Hart - 1.96 - WC
Degea - 1.95 - v goood
Krul - 1.95 - v good
Ruddy - 1.93 - v good
Boruc - 1.93 - WC
Begovic - 1.98 - V good
Adrian - 1.90 - Decent

No too many decent short keepers then, and all the big boys are very good, world class or the best there is. Ryan needs another season in Belgium then a move to the Bundesliga. He won't cut it in England.

Fair point. The list I was referring to was more of a summary of world class short keepers that have played in the league since the EPL was founded in 1992.
