In his West Ham days Lazaridis was a gun player, much better attacking than Chipperfield but defensively vulnerable. From memory i think they tried to turn him into a winger, and then he suffered a few hamstring knee issues and he lost a lot of pace, but in his heyday he was thrilling to watch.

Only someone who thinks they are better then someone else would comment that a fellow football fan as a 'new dawn fool'. Whether someone, who has played, watched or coached football for as long as they can remember (which I have) or someone who at 40 years marveled at Timmy's goal at WC & became a fan, we are all the same football fans. We should be inclusive not exclusive. Edited by robbos: 5/10/2014 12:56:39 PM

People are so antagonistic on this forum. Its as if they take any contrary opinion as a personal affront.

Troisi stayed on the bench
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Don't forget that Chipperfield played in midfield a lot, both centrally and out wide.
Laza at LB was awesome. To think that we had someone as good as Ceccoli who never really got a look in... Would kill for that depth now.

Awesome to see Kruse back. Ange shouldn't have picked him. Let him concentrate on getting a spot back.

For anyone who didn't read these tweets it sounds like Herd had a blinder especially going forward. Rave reviews, excited he is playing again.

it's a bit worrying that Halloran is yo-yoing in and out of the 1st 11.

All that will happen will he gets dragged away from the club for a game and goes further down the pecking order, meaning he will be underdone for the Asian Cup. Not to mention his career at the top level at a top club is in the balance.

So I guess all of Leverkusen's international players are going to fall down the pecking order when they're playing for their international teams on an international break... International minutes and a good performance > a couple of training sessions with half of the squad. Edited by jlm8695: 5/10/2014 10:16:32 PM

Don't see what a player's national team's ranking should have to do with anything.

Edited by tsf: 5/10/2014 11:14:02 PM No, actually back up why you think a player will lose standing when going away on a FIFA date. Is Son going to lose his place too, going away to play for a "4th rate side"? Is Kruse going to miraculously do something in a couple of training sessions that he hasn't done before? It's a ridiculous notion and you know it.
