Pretty sure all our players have arrived for camp?
West Brom seem to have Pulis coming in as manager. A top manager who will hopefully be able to teach Davidson a thing or two and he may take him under his wing. He is known for changing teams up which could mean anything for Davidson.

So which Euro Leagues stop playing ? none? Whens this 'winter break' I keep hearing mentioned on Fox Sports / BT Sports

are these still correct ? must be close. Which means Kruse, Leckie, Oar, Sainsbury, Aziz, Ryan, Troisi all have winter breaks and no games during Asian Cup. Franjic (Russia has a 3 month Winter break until March) Bresc, Wilkinson obviously play in Asia. So obviously have pardon. Timmy MLS has obviously finished. Luongo, Jedinak and Davidson are the only ones who are leaving while there clubs are playing games still. So the only problem with Asian Cup is England who refuses to have a winter break because of $ value of games around Christmas and new years Edited by highkick05: 1/1/2015 01:55:54 AM

AC final is Jan 31. I expect Australia to make the final 4 so our German based players will miss the opening day. Hopefully they return as Asian champions or runners up after an impressive tournament.

Going off of that then , if the boys make the AFC final. Oar, Sainsbury in Holland miss a definite 2, possibly 3 games. Maty Ryan and Troisi in Belgium miss a definite 2 games. Leckie and Kruse, 1 definitely, possibly 2 games if they restart games on the Monday the league kicks back off Aziz in Turkey will miss 2 games. If Brilliante was here he'd miss 3 definite games on the ass end of it. So all in all, pretty shitty anyway. The amount is reduced but would create some doubts in the players minds coming back. So in conclusion your hope for them being Asian Champions would be probably the best outcome if they really wanted to put the doubts at rest. Also wouldn't hurt to pump up the profile of the AFC Cup Edited by highkick05: 1/1/2015 03:49:54 AM

Can't believe Fox Sports haven't yet run with "Good news, Curtis returns to full training with Newcastle"

Fantastic news about Taylor Tombides after all that's happened to him and his family and coming back from long term injury, going on loan to 7th division side Canvey Island and scoring a hattrick overnight against Bury on debut.
Great to see he's still on West Ham's books, and hopefully we'll all be raving about a Tombides on here again soon.

Echo wrote:Taylor Tombides treble not enough for Canvey Island who lose seven-goal thriller to Bury Town Last updated 05:15 Friday 2 January 2015 by Luke Lambert
A HAT-TRICK from debutant Taylor Tombides was not enough to prevent Canvey Island losing a thrilling encounter 4-3 against bottom-of-the-table Bury Town.
The 18-year-old Australian scored three superb goals on his first appearance for the club which had seemed set to hand Danny Heale’s side the win, but two goals in the last 15 minutes condemned them to defeat.
Canvey had been on a wretched run of form heading into the match and were languishing in 17th place ahead of this game.
And they got off to the worst possible start, when Bury took the lead with only two minutes on the clock.
Connor Hall was given time on the edge of the penalty area and he curled a delightful effort into the top corner of Tim Brown’s goal.
Gulls boss Danny Heale admitted keeping Sands quiet would be one of the hosts main aims before the match, but he doubled Bury’s advantage with 15 minutes on the clock.
The home defence stood off the striker, who is carrying a double-hernia injury, and shot beyond Brown’s dive.
Enter Tombides. Eager to make his mark he ran from inside his own half, beat three men and shot expertly home to half the deficit.
And he levelled on the half hour mark. Good work from the returning Kevin Dobinson saw a deep cross headed home by the diving Tombides.
Bury couldn’t handle the youngster, and it was no surprise when he completed his treble 10 minutes into the second half, shooting home with precision.
Sands shot wide for Bury, while Tombides and Enoch Showunmi saw efforts go narrowly wide.
And they were made to pay when a penalty from Hall and a Remi Garrett strike handed Bury the points.
