Always interesting seeing where kids choose to develop. River have an academy in Melbourne. Wouldn't be shocked if he came from an Australian based academy. Yes, I know of it. I'm always skeptical about these type of setups in Australia. Barker-Daish and Lambaridis before joining HAL clubs spent some time in River Plate for 3 months. The players they think are decent go there for 3 months, if they see something special they hold onto them longer, this is what happened to De Niese.

Pretty easy to find youtube videos of him dominating for their academy here, it's easy to see why they snapped him up, even though it's a pretty unique move for an Australian.

Still great if he's progressing within the club, even if he didn't get many minutes in that particular tourney.

De Niese has massive potential. Have seen him dominate a few reserve games for River.

TheSelectFew wrote:Empoli play tonight. Will we see Brillante? He might get a shot, maybe not for the full 90 but he could be used as a sub. Brillante seems to be a replacement for Empoli's former captain Moro, who left the club last month. He's got a bit of competition for the spot, though. The bottom of the Serie A table is really tight at the moment. Empoli is just above the relegation zone, along with Atalanta and Cagliari. Atalanta will come up against Cagliari tonight, so Empoli will really need to get at least a point against Roma tonight to get a bit of assurance.

Amini starting Giannou starting Halloran starting in a friendly
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
