Shame they lost. Going by the play-by-play Luongo was pushing for a second goal 2 w/ Gk stopping him. Big shame they lost they seem to be losing points.. hope they find some fight Edited by highkick05: 11/2/2015 11:28:17 AM Luongo was responsible for Oldham's 2nd goal too. Both of Oldham's goals came in 1 minute apparently. And here is his goal @ 2 mins. Oldham Athletic 2-1 Swindon Town: http://youtu.be/GjghtgNyy8Q

He's probably still nursing that injury plus they're winning with their current set up.

On Luongo has anyone ever gone from league 1 into the starting XI of an EPL side ? Jenkinson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gareth Bale... These guys all made the jump and were around the XI

Jedinak, 'top 4' DM in Europe. Good luck to the new coach, shouldn't be too long until they're losing again

Can't believe this has gone unnoticed for 13hrs. Chris Marques got a start and clean sheet for Stafford Town in the English 10th tier. Probably better than Ryan and only 17. Quote:In a rare Pelsall attack they won a corner and a shot smashed against Town’s crossbar in the 35th minute with Australian goalkeeper Chris Marques – the on-loan Stoke City youngster standing in for Richard Stone – beaten. Brugge into the Belgian Cup final Bursaspor into the Turkish Cup quarters
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

On Luongo has anyone ever gone from league 1 into the starting XI of an EPL side ? Im not sure he could do it but id like to see him skip the Championship and go to the continent before trying his luck in one of the big 4. He is a very adaptable player I could see him doing well in Belgium, France, Turkey, Holland, Portugal or even a bit of a long shot Russia. What makes his goal scoring and assisting more impressive is that Swindon are playing with a back 3 so his role is similar to that of the NT but his defensive responsibility is increased. Ashley Westwood went from Crewe to Villa quiet easily

Peter Makrillos (Ex-Stoke 19 yr old) has trialed with PAS Giannina (6th in Greek Super League). Trialing for the youth team specifically which seems strange. Quote:On workouts PAS Giannina participate in the last two days Peter Makrilos. This Greek-mesoepithetiko, who was born on 9 April 1995. The young footballer has spent in the past by the academy of Barcelona and Stoke.
She even fought in U20 National Australia. It is not intended, however, for the first team and if acquired will be for the Youth team. Note that in the past the Makrilos tested Hercules searchers AEK, but his case had not gone. http://www.sport24.gr/football/omades/PasGiannina/o-makrilios-dokimazetai-ston-pas.3302521.htmlEarlier this year also trialled with AEK. http://neoskosmos.com/news/el/%CE%94%CE%BF%CE%BA%CE%B9%CE%BC%CE%AC%CE%B6%CE%B5%CE%B9-%CE%BF%CE%BC%CE%BF%CE%B3%CE%B5%CE%BD%CE%AE-%CE%B1%CF%80%CF%8C-%CF%84%CE%B7%CE%BD-%CE%91%CF%85%CF%83%CF%84%CF%81%CE%B1%CE%BB%CE%AF%CE%B1-%CE%B7-%CE%91%CE%95%CE%9AEdited by moofa: 13/2/2015 04:51:42 PM
