Looks like Behich will be riding the pine a lot this season.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

As for Rogic, sheer class. My only disappointment is Celtic aren't likely to be tested all that much in league football. Wish they'd made it in the group stages of the UCL.
Still after his injuries, a solid season with Celtic would do him the world of good. If he can get into the first XI I think he's better off that they made the Europe League to be honest. They could've drawn a tough champions league group and played the majority of their games without the ball. I'm sure Melbourne_Terrace will know but I'd assume they'll take the Europa League seriously given how likely they are to win the league anyway, and they'll still be playing some quality teams but at a level where Celtic can play their style and still get results, which they probably couldn't do against the big Champions League teams.

I have asked this question in the past , who in the FFA monitors these lads. Craig Moore has left to roar and the new TD only is responsible up until under 16s? Decentric was coming back with a answer??, nothing yet. What are the FT coaches and assistant of squads like joeys, young socceroos and olyroos doing with their time each day. Why are they not monitoring these lads. Why are they not traveling abroad once every three months and checking up on them like the USA does or why don't they have a simple database?????

When you have players like Gavin DeNiesse at River Plate who have never had any sort of contact with the FFA, even when he wasn't sanctioned to play for a year (he could have played for the U17), you do have to ask the question. Leyverkusen chasing the game 1-0, bringing on their 19 year old German winger Julian Brandt at half time. Their only other attacker on the bench is Ryu Seung-woo who has only had two games for Bayer, so Kruse's chances of gametime are pretty good...

So if the clubs won't help we just give up?. What does vidmar, okon, aurillo and assistants do during there spare time. How many times have they been to Europe to visit, chat even check on the condition of young players in the last few years. I know the USA do it regularly why don't we? One excuse given to me by a former FFA employee is that these guys and their assistants have young families and don't like being away from them....... If that's the case find a new profession. What about a database of players ?. They still rely overseas Aussies for contact details..... Come on And we wonder why our senior stocks are so low. Edited by robbo: 30/8/2015 03:51:18 AM

Kruse subbed on in the 60th minute. Umm why can't he play against Bangladesh but gets used against Bayern? I'm really surprised he's on with so much time left.

It should always be an honour to represent one's country.
But in the scheme of things, Kruse has bigger fish to fry than flying halfway across the world to play against Bangladesh.
The same for Rogic.
These kind of players need to be utterly devoted to club football at this stage. We have enough resources to field a solid team against Bangladesh without them. Playing them risks (albeit minorly) their rhythm with their clubs and injury.

That away game in Jordan is massive.

Haven't seen it mentioned; according to Whoscored Davidson played the full 90 at LB for Huddersfield in their 0-1 loss to Luongo's QPR. Great to see them both playing regularly at a good level, Davidson in particular needed game time after not featuring much at West Brom.

Just watched the games, leckie put in a good shift. Specially defending, good goal too kruse was very lively coming on he always makes great runs Just the final ball was lacking, the ref was shocking. Another goal by rogic so much better up the field, but I have to say the Scottish league is pathetic.

Luongo once again pushing for MotM against Huddersfield playing in that number 10 role. A lot of the fans, myself included, are incredibly pleased with how he is playing, with some even saying they got him for a bargain from Swindon. Now that Luongo has seemingly cemented a spot as the No.10, it will be interesting to see how Ange will play he and Rogic together. Perhaps he could rotate the two between a deep lying playmaker role which Rogic has now become capable of playing and the 10 role
