About 4 days ago the manager said he wants to see him in a game situation before making an offer.

Also, is it true Roda had given the #9 and #10 shirts to Juric and Da Silva? Pretty big wraps if that's the case. Juric definitely played in number 9. I noticed this too.

Is this an argument for the sake of an argument? I've been following this quote-fest, and I can't even work out what your contention is. Is it that he shouldn't be in the Socceroos squad? Is it that he's not actually very good? What is it? ive just presented some information on Chris Ikonomidis, that i'm sure many didn't know Chris last year was as a over age player (19 years old in a 17 and 18 year old competition) he score 80% of he goals as a over player at the 2014 Asian Champion ship U19, Chris was replace in the starting team after 1st game personally, i think it's crazy to select any player for Sooccerrroos base on a 17 and 18 year old competition, especially when that youth was effectively replaced in National age team just 6 month before ...if you're going to be selecting youth players in National team, you also expecting them to be the stand out player for that Australia National age team and Chris Ikonomidis wasn't that player

People need to relax.
Ikon has come off the bench in just two matches, a friendly against Macedonia and against a rubbish Bangladesh side when we were 5-0 up. We spent ten years under Trolger and Pim wishing they would blood some young talent.

I would think the overseas guys see things a little bit better than our arrogant oz youth coaches who wear blinkers. But I can understand what you are saying regarding the call to socceroos when he was playing in an underage comp. he is in the olyroos squad let's see how he goes there. Best of luck to him

You use one tournament to hold onto and again go purely on what you can find on wiki or Soccerway. So despite according to you not being very good compared to the other U19s, he's called up to the Olyroos where his Young Socceroos coach was an assistant, and then gets called up to the Socceroo where his Olyroos coach is an assistant. Now surely these coaches would've said "No, Ange pick Charlie he's played X amount of minutes more than Chris, in the Aleague." Or "No, Ange Ikon is not ready yet." Anyway this thread isn't for national team selection discussions so if you want to continue why not start a new thread rather than derailing this one from its intended purpose of updating the happenings abroad of OS Aussies. Or in your case adrtho, shitting on them.

What is it? ive just presented some information on Chris Ikonomidis, that i'm sure many didn't know Chris last year was as a over age player (19 years old in a 17 and 18 year old competition) he score 80% of he goals as a over player at the 2014 Asian Champion ship U19, Chris was replace in the starting team after 1st game personally, i think it's crazy to select any player for Sooccerrroos base on a 17 and 18 year old competition, especially when that youth was effectively replaced in National age team just 6 month before ...if you're going to be selecting youth players in National team, you also expecting them to be the stand out player for that Australia National age team and Chris Ikonomidis wasn't that player again ill ask.. tell me tardtho, who would you have in the squad instead of ikon? what great teams are they playing against in a competitive league? have you ever heard of the 4 year world cup cycle? pick any 18 to 20 year old in A-league who getting game time ...they are all playing in a higher competition and playing above there age group Fortunately those making the decisions use their scouting and eye for talent as opposed to a search on Soccerway for minutes played. Or in your case adrtho, shitting on them. i thought he was called to Olyroos because he to old for under 19 now ? was Chris the standout un19 player last year for Australia ? is Chris the stand out player when he players in olyroos team? because this is what i would expect from a youth player , who has only played youth football and is now in the Australia Socceroos team

Leckie at 4am Dougall at 1am Kilkenny and Wright at 4:45am Degenek 1:30am Bulut 1:15am Irvine 4:45am McGowan and Taggart 4:45am
Not sure if I'm missing anyone.
I'll probably watch one of Bulut or Degenek depending on streams, Leckie first half and some of the PNE game given they are versing Bournemouth (unless Taggart starts for the LC game).
