You have good reason pointing out Bonno/Rockdale having to dish out more at the time, this is partly the problem trying to enchance the leagues/lift lower clubs standards etcetc - rules change far to often at one level and not enough in others but the only way to try growing NPL1/2 3 and lower is the changing rules to suit the need.
Hard done by for Bonno/Rockdale and I understand - look at the $$$ Hakoah are looking to dish their way with some healthy contributions I'm sure.
Here's another example, Northbridge now in NPL2 (and congrats) they have NO seating at their ground. Well if you count the those minor under cover seats front edge of the clubhouse overlooking the pitch but there sure is a relaxing of the current rule/or a confirmed intent by the club to FNSW I expect on constructing something for it will be crap when the rain arrives watching games.

100% mate - it's an amazing field with fantastic views but it has nothing in the form of seating and thus atmosphere. There is so much space on that ground for them to do something and in fairness it looks like they're assessing building options as we speak.

Though we came first in the league - our ground was one of the worst for supporter comfort.

Yes I hear of something in the planning regards to seating, damn well needs it big time.
Correction, it is one of if not worst for supporter comfort full stop :)

Yes Arlington is a great ambiance for a football ground.
I also think Jenson at Sefton is pretty good as well. The grass pitch is superb !

Footballlover, yer that would be interesting to see that hit out tonight, too far a trek at short notice for me, it will be interesting seeing both sfc and wanderers first venture into PL incl Youth squads.
Lets us know how it went if you can.

Bit early to go making those sorts of judgments given pre-season is still in it's early elements. Most of the Sydney NPL2 team should be in their Youth League season, so will probably use this as nothing more than a training run.

You'd like to think that the SFC boys would get up easily. they're mid-season, full squad vs a sutho team with heavy legs and probably no match practice with new combinations.

I didn't mean performance of teams, more the players which have signed for both clubs. Regarding Sydney FC, will be interesting to see if they push for promotion this season which may see overage first team players drop down (if permitted). Any idea where Home games will be played for Sydney?

Going to assume Leichhardt Oval, or Lambert Park. That's normally where most of our youth league games are played.

2-2, 3 x 35 minute thirds, first 3rd was what I suspect both teams "best 11", Sutho leading that 3rd 1-0, next 3rd was pretty much a new starting 11 for both teams, Sydney FC scored twice to lead that 3rd 1-2. Last third was all Sutho 20's mixed with some young players from Sydney, possibly their 18's, Sutho scoring late in the game.

I was please with the starting 11 for Sutho, Josh Da silva and Seven Kayes a stand out. Sydney FC youth struggled with the physical side and think they may struggle against some physical teams, their defence was a bit shaky also. Their counter attack was very strong and interplay was great to see, I think they can make top 4 in NPL2 however early days.

Hakoah's Development Application Approved

The Board of Hakoah has announced that its Development Application for the redevelopment of White City, lodged on 2 September 2015, was unanimously approved by the Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP) on 15 December 2015.

The JRPP is a government appointed body tasked with independently assessing Development Applications such as Hakoah's.

It comprised a former Senior Commissioner of the Land & Environment Court as its Chair, a Town Planner and two Woollahra Councillors, including the Mayor of Woollahra.

It was the task of Woollahra Council planning and development staff to comprehensively assess Hakoah's DA and prepare a report and recommendation to the JRPP.

The Council staff assessment report to the JRPP recommended approval of the DA and on 14 December Full Council voted overwhelmingly to support approval of the DA.

The JRPP in its decision stated that it considered Hakoah's DA to be a well-considered Application which will provide sporting facilities currently missing in the Woollahra local government area.

The DA as lodged and approved is a Stage 1 concept development for building envelopes and indicative multiple sporting and recreational uses of White City and registered club facilities including a Heritage Interpretation Strategy.

The DA approval is a watershed moment in the redevelopment of White City.

The approval of the building envelopes and proposed uses on the site is a significant step along the road to the building of the proposed facilities.

Hakoah's detailed Heritage Interpretation Strategy, with additions, has been accepted and approved as an appropriate recognition of the heritage significance of White City, so as to allow development to take place.

It has been a complex and very involved process which has required an outstanding collaborative team effort and exceptional dedication, hard work and perseverance, and belief in the Board's concept and plan.

The Board extended its appreciation to the many people involved in this project who have been instrumental in achieving this outcome.

Special mention of thanks and appreciation to:
◾The Development Committee and in particular its Co-Chairmen, Phillip Wolanski AM and Allen Linz
◾Our Architects, Michael Mandl, Daisuke Jepsen and Christian Harrup of Group GSA
◾Town Planner Aaron Sutherland of Sutherland & Assoc.
◾Our Heritage Consultant, Stephen Davies of Urbis
◾PAYCE, our initial Project Managers
◾All the numerous and varied consultants who have made an invaluable and critical contribution.

The Board also thanked Life Patron, Frank Lowy AC and Steven Lowy AM for the benefit of their experience and wise counsel along the journey.

The Board acknowledged and thanked Woollahra Council’s planning staff and Councillors for supporting the DA, their guidance and hard work and for recognising the widespread benefits of the proposed facilities.

It has been a productive co-operative process and Hakoah looks forward to this continuing into the future.

This approval represents a significant step, but as significant as the DA approval is, it is however but one step in a continuing complex and detailed process required to achieve our vision to provide unique sporting, recreational, social and cultural facilities at White City.

This approval however, allows the club to go forward with confidence and renewed vigour to achieve this goal.

Hakoah Members can be assured that the Board and Development Committee will continue to do everything possible to advance this process with due consideration and in as timely a manner as possible to achieve the realisation and implementation of the vision of such a vitally needed sporting and community centre.

Hakoah is very grateful for our community’s widespread support in this endeavour.

Saw this on another website. This was posted a few months ago so I dare say there's been a few more transfers gone on.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers

Ins: Luke Austin (Marconi Stallions), Brendan Hooper (Sydney Olympic), Tonu Liiband (Manly United), Jordan Murray (South Coast Wolves) & Sean O'Connell (Sutherland Sharks).

Outs: Andrew Bazi, Adam Griffiths, Stephen Kayes, Tyson Rhodes, Brett Studman, Michael West (All Unknown), Daniel Petkovski (Rockdale City Suns), Blake Powell (Wellington Phoenix) and Marc Warren (Perth Glory).

Blacktown City

Ins: None found

Outs: Yianni Perkatis (Blacktown Spartans) and Yianni Fragogiannis (Sydney United). There are rumours circling that 3-4 other players have left or are looking at other options but I haven't been able to confirm who.

Blacktown Spartans

Ins: Anthony Proia (South Coast Wolves), Martin Vazquez (Palm Beach) and Yianni Perkatis (Blacktown City).

Outs: Costa Andricopoulos (Hakoah Sydney City East), Gregory Kondek (Bonnyrigg White Eagles), Joshua Da Silva (Sutherland Sharks), Samuel Jacob (Now coaching Spartans U/20), Simon Valastro, Mitchell Long and Daniel Fogarty (All unknown).

Bonnyrigg White Eagles

Ins: Gregory Kondek (Blacktown Spartans).

Outs: Dylan Fox (Wellington Phoenix), Chris Tadrosse (Retired), Alexander Canak (Rockdale City Suns), Benjamin Spruce (Poland) & Nikodin Matic (Macarthur Rams).

Manly United

Ins: None found

Outs: Chris Payne (Sydney United)

Rockdale City Suns

Ins: Dylan MacAllister (Central Coast Mariners - Mid Season) and Alexander Canak (Bonnyrigg White Eagles).

Outs: Ivan Necevski (Sydney FC) and Marko Jesic (Marconi Stallions).

Sutherland Sharks

Ins: Callum Fitzpatrick (Marconi Stallions), Jack Press (Marconi Stallions), James Andrew (Sydney Olympic) and Joshua Da Silva (Blacktown Spartans).

Outs: Sean O'Connell (APIA Leichhardt Tigers).

Parramatta Eagles

Plenty of players rumoured to be going in and out, but nothing confirmed as yet.

Sydney Olympic

Ins: Mark Cindric (Sydney United) and Chris Triantis (Sydney United).

Outs: Brendan Hooper (APIA Leichhardt Tigers), Troy Danaskos (Wellington Phoenix) and Harris Gaitatzis (Sydney United).

Sydney United 58

Rumours flying around about wholesale changes, and it's likely that Phil Makrys and Manny Giannaros will be among the outs.

Ins: Harris Gaitatzis (Sydney Olympic) and Yianni Fragogiannis (Blacktown City).

Outs: Mitchell Stamatellis (Hakoah Sydney City East), Mark Cindric (Sydney Olympic) and Chris Triantis (Sydney Olympic).

Hakoah Sydney City East

Rumours that Hakoah are chasing Lucas Neill to play in 2016 and Marc Schwarzer for a guest stint. Not sure on credibility though.

Ins: Costa Andricopoulos (Blacktown Spartans) and Mitchell Stamatellis (Sydney United).

Not sure about NPL2 transfers - but apparently Matthew Mayora and Elsid Barkhousir have also left Mounties. I think Mayoras was injured for most of last season.

Anybody got any new transfers?
