There were no excuses against Northbridge, there definitely isn't any against a side 3 divisions below us. Northbridge are undefeated in Div 1 and even they were quite poor, we really shouldnt have any problems against a side a division below them.

Yes Heiny Mariners have invested with the Bathurst and Northbridge clubs before season start.
Youth development is their motives linking with these clubs and in future pick out the better prospects for Mariners......
Correction, North Shore Mariners fyi.

Sydcro - I expected the result going your way - as you say they are playing 3divs down, would have been a massive upset.

Your boys did well to frustrate us for long periods. We've been scoring fairly freely in the NPL so to keep us to one goal and few clear cut chances is a good showing. I think the match would have gone very differently had that Cardozo chance in the 2nd minute gone in... having to chase a game for 80+ minutes is a completely different ball game.

Great to see so many Northbridge fans and juniors come down by bus

Guarantees at least on non-NPL club to qualify for the Round of 32.

It also means that a Capital 1 club will be just 90 minutes away from being that qualifier.

Sydcro, infact they have been an enemy of mine, have played against them Div1 club level for as long as I can remember then my 2nd son trials out for them last season getting into their YL therefore knowing their background and progress, son has shifted to a opposing club this season  but still in contact.
Club on the up, lower north side, keen to get into higher leagues, it will come I expect, good numbers and now having mariners association.
Nice to hear they gave you a run for your money, tbh I did expect them to do so.
They are a robust unit having watched them a couple times last season and the final vsing Hakoah was a top game.
As you say they travel in numbers - good signs but a loss is a loss.
Wish you guys good luck as I do have some of that blood in me.

There's 2 temporary grandstands that look like they've been there for a decade with garbage underneath them. Weeds all over the place. There's service roads that were here before it became a football ground that they've left. Old signs left behind one of the goals. Pitch is ok, but you'd think Adelaide City could do better.

Final Score (a.e.t):
Adelaide City: 3 - Para Hills: 1
