It's embarrassing in this day and age. Edited by TheSelectFew: 10/5/2015 12:34:36 AM

It's embarrassing in this day and age. Edited by TheSelectFew: 10/5/2015 12:34:36 AM Would it be different if Hakoah were also told that they needed to drop that to conform to the NCIP? Here's the point of view from a "White Australian", whose background is from the British Isles. I completely agree that Hakoah breaks the rules on that one. Only Lowy's club could get away with something so blatant. No doubt about it. But for me, both sides are wrong over the Knights' FFA Cup issue. The Knights should've known that they were pushing it, trying to find a loophole to clearly have marked on the middle of their shirts "Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club". It's blatantly disregarding the rules that the FFA created. No matter how harmless they saw it and how much of a legitimate business the Croatian Social Club is, they knew that with a name like that, it would always be failing to conform to the NCIP. Their cause certainly wasn't helped by those against the NCIP asking dumb hypothetical questions along the lines of "Should a club being sponsored by "Arnott's Scotch Finger Biscuits" or "Belgian Waffle Cafe" be allowed to play?" One thing that actually really surprised me however, was that the sponsor of "Newcastle Macedonia Sports Club" on the back of Broadmeadow Magic's shirt was allowed. The FFA dropped the ball on that one, allowing pre-existing sponsors to continue their sponsorship like that. Nothing stops me from create a business called "Frozen Utilities, Cleaned Knowledgeably Through Heat, Extremely Flammable Flooding Appliances", which will run by our acronym of "F.U.C.K.T.H.E.F.F.A.". As long as we sponsor a club prior to the FFA Cup Round of 32, we'd be allowed to have that on our shirts. It's ridiculous. The way I see it, Melbourne Knights could've easily made more of an impact by posting the complete hypocrisy of the rules to places such as Social Media and directly challenging Lowy why a word like Hakoah (meaning "The Strength" in Hebrew) is allowed in a club name? Instead they immediately played the "human rights" card and immediately took it to the highest power, rather than hitting up the media, which is far more likely to make Lowy look like a fool and also having more direct impact and likelihood of having the NCIP changed. I can see why the NCIP was created and I agree with it to a certain extent., but the rules for it definitely need to be re-written to show that what rules cover clubs like Melbourne Knights have to cover all, including Hakoah. One last extremely controversial note to leave on. Does Borroloola FC's club logo's top half pass the NCIP? - http://www-static.spulsecdn.net/pics/00/03/47/96/3479605_1_S.jpg

Quote:Tuesday May 12th 7.30pm Western NSW Mariners v Balmain Tigers at Proctor Park 'Mon Balmain. If they make it through, going to be stoked. I'm stoked as it is for them that they've made it this far. Normally they bomb out pretty early in the Waratah Cup, and last year they got fucked over by Granville. If they make it, they need to hold the game/s at Leichhardt Oval. Quote:Wednesday May 13th 7.30pm Rockdale City Suns v Sutherland Sharks at Ilinden Sports Centre This is going to be an interesting clash. Rockdale are on a slight resurgence of sorts after they sacked Branko Culina a couple week ago (and replaced him with Paul Fucking Reid:lol: ) Wouldn't mind seeing either in the cup, but I think I want Sutherland to make it. Would love to hit up a game down in Sutherland again. Quote:Wednesday May 13th 7.30pm Sydney Olympic v South Coast Wolves at Lambert Park How come this one isn't at Belmore? Are the doggies training the next morning and are worried that the football is going to ruin their perfectly pristine ground. Have noticed Lambert Park seems to be Olympics 2nd home when Belmore isn't available - at least in terms of cup games. They played Bentleigh in last years FFA cup there. I'll probably go along to this. It's a short detour on the way home from uni. Quote:Tuesday May 19th 7.00pm TBA v TBA at Darwin Football Stadium Wednesday May 20th 7.00pm TBA v TBA at Darwin Football Stadium Phwoar! What a couple of matchups. :P

Can anyone recall the chant of "Fuck off, Palmer" during the Palm Beach - Central Coast Mariners FFA Cup match last year? Hahaha. You could hear it loud as hell on the Foxtel coverage. At the end of the chant, the noise died down and the silence was broken by "Clive Palmer's a fat c*nt!"
