NOVEMBER UPDATE
FourFourTwo FC 2-1 Leeds
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, 99 Problems, Roar_Brisbane, zimbos_05, Glory von Perth, jparraga, milan_7 (chillbilly 66’), Redkat, 11.mvfc,11 (gabgabgab39 66’)
Goalscorers: Terry-McFlynn Redkat (1, 77 pen) Ryan Mason (55)
MOTM: Terry-McFlynn Redkat
Coach’s Summary: Well we got away with that. We dominated from the off with Redkat’s goal just 46 seconds in putting us up early, and we continued the onslaught throughout the first half. During the half time break, I warned them against complacency. Yet they went into the second half thinking they had won the game already. Sharp looked dangerous for them, but it was Ryan Mason who equalized with a goal in his first game for the club after joining from Leeds. I then made a few changes, bringing on gabgabgab39 and he made an instant impact. With one of the most blatant dives I’ve ever seen to put us back in front. And that is how the game ended, a lucky win but that is what we are going to need to get promotion this year.
Watford 1-0 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: A16Man, The Maco, Glory von Perth, quichefc, inala brah, Draupinho, chillbilly, jparraga, milan_7, 11.mvfc,11, gabgabgab39 (Redkat 67’)
Goalscorers: Matej Vydra (15)
MOTM: chillbilly
Coach’s Summary: Well that, was fucking dreadful. We were poor from start to finish and they picked up a deserved 3 points. We were way too loose at the back and toothless up front, and never really looked like scoring besides jparraga’s offside goal. We were slightly better in the second half after we went a bit more attacking but even then we didn’t look like scoring. A poor result in a match where there were very little chances.
FourFourTwo FC 2-0 Fulham
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, 99 Problems (quichefc 73’), Roar_Brisbane, zimbos_05, Glory von Perth (Draupinho 82’), chillbilly, milan_7, macktheknife (Redkat 73’), 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Terry-McFlynn Redkat (78’, 88’)
MOTM: Terry-McFlynn Redkat
Coach’s Summary: That is more like it! After poor performances in the last two matches and a drab first 45 minutes we feared the worst, but the team talk worked wonders with two late goals sealing the win. We tweaked things slightly in the second half, forcing them out of their comfort zone with a high pressing game. We were a bit better in the next 25 minutes but after Redkat came on and we switched to a more attacking style we clicked. Within five minutes of the switch, the super sub put us in front, and ten minutes later completed the victory despite suspicions of offside to put us back into the top two.
Nottm Forest 1-2 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4 (quichefc 79’), 99 Problems, inala brah zimbos_05, Draupinho, Redkat, milan_7, macktheknife (BusbyBabe 79’), 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Draupinho (57’) 11.mvfc.11 (70’) Henri Lansbury (79’)
MOTM: Draupinho
Coach’s Summary: Not much to say about that one really. It was a very close game which probably deserved a draw, which is a bit disappointing for us considering they sit at the foot at the ladder. Once again we performed a lot better in the second half which shows our high intensity training before the start of the season is paying dividends.
FourFourTwo FC 2-2 Reading
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, 99 Problems, inala brah, zimbos_05, Draupinho (Glory von Perth 65’), BusbyBabe, milan_7 (quichefc 41’), macktheknife, 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: 11.mvfc.11 (27’, 57’) Jamie Mackie (52’) Pavel Porebnyak (59’)
Red cards: Pv4 (41’)
MOTM: 11.mvfc.11
Coach’s Summary: Well what a game that was for the neutral. It had everything, an avoidable red card, goals and goal mouth scrambles. We had a decent first half and looked on our way to a win before pv4 got sent off and we were forced into bringing off milan_7 who had been our best up until that point. After the break they came out firing and got their first goal after an amazing goal mouth scramble after a corner. We replied well though, with 11.mvfc.11 firing in a second goal. But our lead was short lived as they replied before I finished my celebratory fist pump. There were a lot of chances for them before full time, with a ridiculous scramble this time ending with a save from our keeper. We almost scored in injury time when 11.mvfc.11 put a golden opportunity wide.

OTHER NEWS Adam Pearson has opted to lift the transfer embargo placed on FourFourTwo FC and has said that he has full trust in Kevin Airs.
11.mvfc.11 came third in the running for the SkyBet Championship Young Player of the Month.

Sorry for the long delay in updates, a couple of reasons but it should be back to normal in the next week or two. I try to do it once a week.

Wigan 2-0 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, quichefc, 99 Problems, Roar_Brisbane, zimbos_05 (inala brah 67’), Draupinho, BusbyBabe, milan_7, macktheknife, 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Andy Delort (7) James McClean (83)
MOTM: Fredsta
Coach’s Summary: What a rubbish performance. We seemed like we would rather a high possession stat than a win, because we just kept the ball in defence the whole bloody game. We may have had more shots than them, but almost all of them were from range and only 3 of our 15 were on target. Our only real chance of note was when 11.mvfc.11 rounded 3 players to force a decent save from Ali Al-Habsi. To be fair though, they were poor too. And a moment of sloppy goalkeeping and a moment of brilliance in McClean’s free kick were the only thing that could separate us.
FourFourTwo FC 1-4 Middlesborough
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, 99 Problems, Roar_Brisbane, Draupinho, zimbos_05, BusbyBabe, milan_7, Redkat, 11.mvfc.11
Goalscorers: Jejje Vossen (6, 36, 73) Milan_7 (30) Grant Leadbitter (pen 90)
MOTM: milan_7
Coach’s Summary: Disgraceful. End of Story. Pv4 probably had the worst game of any player all season, continuously losing Vossen and giving away the penalty, 99 Problems gave us problems too. Not covering pv4 despite that being his specific role. I learned the lesson not to make changes as we unsurprisingly were given a red card immediately after we were forced into our last change because of an injury to Draupinho.
FourFourTwo FC 2-0 Ipswich
Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, 99 Problems (quichefc 73’), inala brah, zimbos_05, Draupinho, BusbyBabe, milan_7, macktheknife, 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Macktheknife (2’) Draupinho (43’) 99 Problems (80’)
MOTM: macktheknife
Coach’s Summary: Back in business, after losing two consecutive matches and offering nothing in both, we desperately needed a good performance and 3 points. And that is exactly what we got. Macktheknife started it off with a brilliant solo goal after just 90 seconds, and continued his form throughout the first half. Showing the form which led him to call ups for the Spanish Under 21’s earlier in the season. He then turned provider for our second goal as he rounded three players and put the ball into Draupinho who smacked it in from the edge of the area. And it only got better for us in the second half, as we continued to dominate the match and really could have been up by six or seven. But the win was sealed 10 minutes from time when a goal mouth scramble resulted in macktheknife assisting 99 Problems for a third goal.
FourFourTwo FC 1-2 Norwich
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, Glory von Perth, quichefc, inala brah, milan_7, Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat, macktheknife, 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Lewis Grabban (12’, pen 63’) 11.mvfc.11 (51’)
MOTM: 11. Mvfc.11
Coach’s Summary: I am going to be honest, that was not the worst result in the world considering the circumstances. We had 2 players suspended and 8 on international duty with Australia, leaving just twelve first team squad members. Then add the fact that we were playing a team that is top by 15 points then it begins to look a lot better. And despite all that we probably deserved a point, having more shots and shots on target.
Ipswich 2-4 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Glory von Perth, pv4, quichefc, Roar_Brisbane, milan_7, Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat, macktheknife, 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: 11.mvfc.11 (3’, 9’) Daryl Murphy (4’, pen 92’) Gabgabgab39 (72’) Milan_7 (91’)
MOTM: milan_7
Coach’s Summary: Against the odds! We went into the game missing a lot of players through international duty, but still somehow managed a win and a brilliant performance despite only playing against Norwich two days earlier. It is a miracle no one picked up a serious injury as we had a lot of players who looked well under 85% at the start of the match playing 90 minutes. We knew we had to start fast because of this and we certainly did, scoring two and conceding one inside 10 minutes.

[FA CUP 3RD ROUND] FourFourTwo FC 1-1 Walsall
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Glory von Perth, scouse_roar, pv4 (gabgabgab39 45’), Roar_Brisbane, quichefc, Draupinho, jparraga, milan_7, macktheknife, 11.mvfc.11
Goalscorers: Paul Downing (90’) Macktheknife (93’)
MOTM: macktheknife
Coach’s Summary: Awful, truly awful. Probably one of the most boring games I have ever seen with both sides not creating a single chance until injury time. This is not good enough for us, considering they are sitting in mid-table of League 1. All that does to us is add another game to an already hectic schedule and with all our players at the Asian Cup we cannot afford this. Another negative out of today is that we will be without pv4 for the next four weeks and Draupinho for one week due to injury.
Millwall 2–2 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Glory von Perth, scouse_roar, pv4, quichefc, Roar_Brisbane, milan_7, Draupinho (Kingsley Webb 73’), jparraga, Redkat (gabgabgab39’), macktheknife, 11.mvfc.11
Goalscorers: Carlos Edwards (16’) Richard Chaplow (27’) Macktheknife (70’, 72’)
MOTM: macktheknife
Coach’s Summary: Not sure what to make of that. As the score line at HT suggested, we were very poor in the first half, we looked tired which is unsurprising considering the amount of players we have at the Asian Cup. After a stern half time team talk and some tactical tweaks though, we looked a lot better, and two quickfire goals from macktheknife put us on level terms and in the end we probably could have got all three points.
[FA CUP 3RD ROUND REPLAY] Walsall 1-5 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, Glory von Perth (Bill Brehon 83’), quichefc, inala brah, milan_7, Redkat (scouse_roar 76’), jparraga, 11.mvfc.11, macktheknife, gabgabgab39 (Draupinho 18’)
Goalscorers: Gabgabgab39 (1’) Matt Preston (30’) 11.mvfc.11 (45’, 57’, 78’) Milan_7 (64’)
MOTM: 11.mvfc.11
Coach’s Summary: And that is how we should play against a team like that. In the first half we weren’t that good despite taking the lead after 25 seconds, but we still were in front at half time and that was what we needed. After the break we powered on and 11.mvfc.11 looked like scoring every time he touched the ball and he just about did. A good performance on what looked like would be a tough away trip, now we play Sheffield Wednesday in a couple of weeks in the next round, Convicts are on their way to Wembley! The only bad bit about this game is that Glory von Perth will be out for 3 months and gabgabgab39 will be out for 4 weeks.
FourFourTwo FC 4-1 Charlton
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, scouse_roar, quichefc, inala brah, milan_7, Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat, macktheknife (Bill Halom 64’), 11.mvfc,11
Goalscorers: Joe Gomez [OG] (14’) Redkat (37’) Milan_7 (48’) 11.mvfc.11 (57’)
MOTM: 11. Mvfc.11
Coach’s Summary: What a performance! Brilliant from start to finish and we thoroughly deserved the three points. We were equally good in the second half as in the first and to be honest the only complaint I have is that we have picked up ANOTHER injury in macktheknife, who will be out for 2-3 months. This means we now have 10 players in the entire first team who are able for selection. This means a no name player from the Under 21’s will have to step in. We will looking into our training to combat this and see how we can prevent future injuries as this is getting out of hand.
[FA CUP 4TH ROUND] FourFourTwo FC 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, scouse_roar, quichefc, inala brah, milan_7, Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat, Bill Halom, 11.mvfc,11
MOTM: quichefc
Coach’s Summary: Great, another game, just what we need. We were poor going forward today and frankly didn’t deserve a goal. The good news though is that we defended soundly, now though we will have to face a tough trip to Sheffield and another game added to our already hectic schedule. The game will be played on the 4th of February so our Asian Cup players will probably be back but unable to play due to fatigue. Also, should we go through we will face Stoke City at home.
Blackburn 1-0 FourFourTwo FC
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, pv4, quichefc, inala brah, milan_7, Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat (gabgabgab39 57’), Bill Halom, 11.mvfc,11
Goal scorers: Jordan Rhodes (79’)
MOTM: quichefc
Coach’s Summary: You know what, I never liked football anyway. In fact I’ve always been a big quidditch fan, lot less bullshit. I mean yesterday in training we lose scouse_roar, so pv4 slots in. gabgabgab39 has to be on the bench having not even trained yet. I had no intention of playing him. Then Redkat goes and gets injured forcing me to bring him on and I hang myself on a flag pole. To be honest I don’t care THAT much about the loss but these injuries are making me want to cheese grate my scrotum off. Also just got back from the game and we are going to have to use painkillers to field Roar_Brisbane as he picked up an injury in that match, he will be out for about 6 weeks afterwards.
FourFourTwo FC 0-0 Bolton
Starting XI: Socceroofan4life, Roar_Brisbane, pv4, quichefc, inala brah, milan_7 (gabgabgab39 44’), Draupinho, jparraga, Redkat, Bill Halom, 11.mvfc,11
MOTM: Draupinho
Coach’s Summary: Ok this is beyond a joke now, ANOTHER injury. No goals and a poor bore draw but this is frustrating, I even lowered the intensity of our training this week to prevent injuries and we still get our captain injured. The good news though is that he won’t miss our next match.

Quote:We were equally good in the second half as in the first and to be honest the only complaint I have is that we have picked up ANOTHER injury in macktheknife, who will be out for 2-3 months. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :( :( :( :( Should've been rested for the Cup replay or taken off at half-time at least.

Glad I could put the worst game of the season behind me, but sad that I got injured. Hopefully I stay injury free and in some kind of form for the rest of the season!
