They're giving it a fair old crack
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

If Iraq could put a decent ball in from the set piece they could potentially trouble Japan. But each one has been really poor.
Japan do seem to have dropped off a bit, I wonder if this is an attempt to conserve energy or if they are genuinely struggling a bit the with the heat and humidity.

RedKat wrote:Horrible miss on Honda. Love the commentators going up for the goal and realising. Of all the players in the tournament youd think Honda is least likely to miss that What was it, the one that hit the post early on. Live Slater was saying it was a great save point blank! Was thinking wtf i knew it hit the post, but its funny how many people go along with his bull shit. Dad believed every word of it. Never trust anything he says, he did retract his statement though lol

You'd have to put a stat down as the temp wouldn't ya ? Honda is drenched Match Centre wise ? clearly a major factor. ALl Asian games should have this

I have been thinking that Japan don't look as scary as usual. Even in our friendly.

BUT that was a huge miss by honda, best build up play of the night. Would have come away with the game after that. Now im a little miffed how both teams played, japan did enough. Iraq had no intensity, you are 1-0 down you are giving japan trouble but no im going to lie down for a bit.

Honda is amazing live, would just stroll around not caring but every touch and pass was great.
I thought the suncorp pitch wasn't too bad when i was at the stadium, but looking at the highlights it looks bad haha.

I was really hoping a goal for iraqi which never came.

If Jordan can manage an upset against Japan, then the tiebreaker will be all over the place. Might it come down to goals scored. Iraq beat Jordan, Japan beat Iraq, Jordan beat Japan. GD is similar and Iraq should get 4 past Palestine.

Tiebreaker rules
1 Greater number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned
2 Goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned
3 Greater number of goals scored in the group matches between the teams concerned
4 Goal difference in all the group matches
5 Greater number of goals scored in all the group matches
I don't get number two. Why would it be needed if a game has been drawn or a winner? A winner automatically has a better goal difference therefore making number 1 applicable. Number 4 means total goals ie: traditional goal difference definition. Number 3 is the same meaning a draw automatically sees goals scored as a tie.
